Fascinating and fun way to explore lower Manhattan

5.00This was an exceptional tour of lower Manhattan exploring 400 years of death. I am pretty knowledgeable about NYC history and the neighborhood, but I learned so much. Krombie is an exceptional guide. She engaged the group with stories and involved us in discussions - this was no boring tour with lectures! I enjoyed every minute of it, as did my husband and friend. We will definitely do another Purefinder tour, especially now that I learned what a purefinder was. :)
This tour should be a requirement for every New Yorker and tourist.

5.00I went on this tour a few years ago and had to go back to try and digest all the unbelievable fun facts. Don't think for a moment, you understand or know NYC history. I've been a NYer all my life and the info that Crombie (guide) shared was fascinating, interesting and constantly a wow. Crombie is lively, entertaining, approachable and informative. Whether you are a tourist or resident, book this tour.

5.00Fantastic tour. Insightful, well planned, and well guided. Was ±3 hours, and well worth the price of admission. Guide did great in making the group of ±6 gel together. Recommend for both locals and tourists alike.

5.00This is frankly one of the best tours I've taken in my life! Krombie is not only tremendously knowledgeable, but also has a gift for thrilling storytelling and a delightfully wicked sense of humor. 10/10 would recommend –I cannot wait to take some of her other tours around the city, and to get my hands on her book for more on the subject.

5.00We wanted to do a walking tour that wasn’t just the usual tourist stuff and this one was even better than we expected! Our guide was personable and well informed, and the tour was full of fascinating facts and tales about death in unexpected places in NYC. Highly recommend, we’ll definitely do more tours next time we’re in town!

5.00Loved the tour; all the incredible facts I was told (guess how many dead bodies are buried, layer upon layer, in tiny Trinity church graveyard?) are still percolating in my mind. Our tour guide was witty and knowledgeable; the time flew by.
