MEETING OUR GUIDE. Your guide will be waiting for you at the Main entrance of the Museum & she will have a sign with your name written. EXPLORING THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE. Inset on wide terraces along the hillside we are fortunate that the landslides of previous centuries preserved much of the ancient remains for us, including the 4th century BC temple of Apollo from where the Oracle spoke her prophecies along with the Castilian spring of Mythology, theatre, treasury buildings, temples of Athena and Gymnasium where athletes gathered before the Pythian games to bathe in the sacred waters. During your visit to Delphi, you can still see the physical structures associated with this incredibly long history a your expert guide brings their History to life before you.

TOURING THE MUSEUM. A beautiful addition to the site is the modern museum which displays finds stretching back in time to at least 1500 BC, including many of the sculptures & other unique pieces that adorned the temples & streets of the site at its peak around the 4th century BC. Outstanding pieces include the Naxos Sphynx, the twin Kouroi, and the famous Bronze Charioteer among others.

The good: great to have the guide summarize what we were seeing, and she was helpful in taking pictures of our whole group The not-so-good: the guide was a few minutes late and the experience seemed curt and not as warm and inviting as other experiences we had dwhile we were in Greece.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and explained the history to us. All of our questions were answered. She maximized our time between the museum and the site. We would highly recommend this tour

I am 50/50 on recommending this tour — Georgia was really nice and provided great context and background while we toured the museum, which helped paint a picture and make the archeological site visit more meaningful (and I don’t think we could have gleaned the same level of detail from visiting the site on our own). But the tour overall was very rushed and she didn’t accompany us through most of the archaeological site-part of the tour. With that said, it’s hard to find a licensed guide that will meet you at the site if you have your own transportation to Delphi, so we enjoyed it overall but wished it was less rushed and more in depth.

The guide was excellent with a lot of knowledge. She answered all our questions. She made sure we don't miss any of the important artifacts (in the museum) and all that can be seen at the site. She adopted the pace to ours - making sure we are comfortable at any time. Since it was a private tour - it is a bit expensive - but worth it!

The tour was excellent. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the site, the history and how various aspects of faith and history have intertwined over the centuries. I have read a great deal and watched documentaries about Delphi but nothing can really explain the site and sheer awe of it all until you have been there. Even if you are being dragged along as part of a group, the views of the mountains and valley are totally worth it! It does involve walking, stairs and a trek up the hill. We did not find it strenuous but you should check with the site if you need accommodations. The inside part of the tour is accessible but I'm not sure about outside.
