Dingo's K'gari Adventures is a fun-filled, self-driven three-day adventure that allows you to experience all the highlights of K'Gari (Fraser Island) by 4WD.
Departing from Rainbow Beach, travellers experience driving a 4WD on the beach and sandy island tracks whilst following an experienced guide in a lead vehicle to ensure they are safe and heading to all the best locations.
Visit stunning lakes, creeks, and rainforests that make up this World Heritage-listed destination. At night, travellers retreat to a unique beach-side campsite for drinks and tales by the fire.
Dingo's K'gari Adventures has been etched in backpackers' memories as the highlight of their East Coast trip since the early 2000s. With fun and adventure in mind, this tour shows the highlights of Fraser Island and leaves you with lasting memories and new friends!

Rainbow Beach Tourist Centre
We begin on the mainland with a morning brief at Freedom Rainbow Beach. At 9:30, once the brief is over and we’re packed and ready to go, we depart for Fraser Island (K'Gari). After a quick 10 minute drive to the ferry, we board for a short barge crossing to World Heritage listed Fraser Island, the world’s largest sand island! Once we land, we drive for around 1 hour to Eurong Resort along what’s known as Fraser Island’s beach highway, the 75 Mile Beach (with a speed limit of 80 km/49 mph)! There you can grab a coffee and a snack for morning tea (own cost).
Lake McKenzie
From here we head to the picturesque Lake McKenzie, famous for its amazing scenery and almost crystal clear waters. We'll enjoy lunch here with plenty of time to enjoy this Fraser Island favourite with some swimming and relaxing on the beach. After cooling off, we drive to our private campsite near the the beach where we'll enjoy an early dinner and stories with your new friends.

Eli Creek
We wake up in the morning for a quick breakfast before heading out for an amazing second day on Fraser Island. We visit Eli Creek, a beautiful and clear creek surrounded by tropical plants and wildlife that’s also great for a relaxing swim.
Maheno Ship Wreck
Afterwards we stop over at Maheno shipwreck, where the SS Maheno ran aground in 1935, for some photos and a short history lesson about this famous Fraser icon.
Champagne Pools
Shortly after we travel up to Champagne Pools for a dip! We have lunch at either Maheno shipwreck or Champagne Pools on Day 2 depending on time constraints, safety, and beauty! In the afternoon we travel back to camp for dinner and drinks.

We start with breakfast, before packing up and cleaning our campsite. We then drive to the beginning of the Lake Wabby walk where you’ll get the chance to wander over epic sand dunes to a tropical paradise! Lunch follows our trip to Lake Wabby where you can relax and share stories of your favourite Fraser Island experiences. We say our goodbyes to Fraser Island and leave Lake Wabby behind as we begin our drive down the beach and back to the barge for boarding. Once back on the mainland we head to the 4WD shed where you unpack and give the cars a quick clean before returning to Freedom Rainbow Beach between 3pm and 4pm.

5.00My girlfriend and I spent 1 month in Australia and it had to be said the this was the best part of our trip and this is all credit to Pete and the stunning scenery of Fraser Island! Would strongly recommend this dingos tour. When we come back we will be booking the same trip with dingos and requesting to have Pete.

5.00Rhett was our guide for the 3 day tour and we could not praise him enough, he went above and beyond for us and made the trip very special. His knowledge he passed on about the island was next to none, our highlight was also his sets at camp at night. Again cannot praise him enough, he was a gent and very reliable.

5.00We had the absolute best time on our K’gari–Fraser Island tour with Rhett from Dingos. From the moment the trip began, you could tell how genuinely enthusiastic he is about his job and the island itself. His knowledge was incredible — not just facts, but real stories and passion that brought every place to life. What really made the tour special was how much Rhett went above and beyond for our group (and others!). He sang for us, got us involved with instruments, made us laugh constantly, and created such a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Even when we had car trouble along the way, he stayed patient, positive, and light-hearted, keeping everyone in great spirits and turning it into part of the adventure rather than a problem. Rhett truly made the whole experience feel once-in-a-lifetime. If you’re thinking of doing K’gari with Dingos, ask for Rhett — you couldn’t be in better hands.

5.00I was travelling with a tour group and we had a great time on K’gari with Dingos! A special mention to our amazing tour guide Rhett who was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the island (and also a great entertainer with his guitar in the evenings back at camp)! The highlight of my tour was driving the 4WD’s off road and on the beach and we got to see so many amazing places such as Lake McKenzie, which was beautiful. Dingo’s also provide all your meals for your stay. Overall such a good trip that I highly recommend!

4.00Had such a fab time over new year with Dingos! Our group leader Pete was hilarious and the other group leader Rhett was amazing giving us a live guitar performance both nights! Felt like such an adventure, K’gari was so beautiful and we were so well fed!!!! The camping was way more comfortable than expected. We even had mats and pillows! The cars were super old but very fun to drive!

5.00We had so much fun as a big group! Rhett was an amazing guide and knew so much about the island and all the spots we visited over the three days. He gave us the most amazing new year with his live music to welcome in the new year. We all want to go back already. A massive thank you to Rhett and the dingos team.

5.00I was part of a travel group and this was included in the tour. It was incredible!! Honestly couldn't think of a better way to see in the New Year. We had the honour of having Rhett as our tour guide during this time. He was extremely knowledgeable about the island and its history sharing his love for the island. Rhett completely made this experience, he did everything from sharing a fascinating fact, telling an amazing story and dropping a funny joke. On top of all of this, he plays the guitar and sings for everyone at the camp live at the end of each day after dinner!!

5.00My experience was amazing we had Pete as our tour guide he was so helpful and made our experience 10/10, both of us had a gluten allergy and it was catered to perfectly, however I would suggest adding air con in some of the cars as It does get really hot in the day.
