This is a full-day hike. Go in search of rare wildflowers, wonderful mushrooms, endemic plants and experience the pristine nature of the Apuseni Mountains on this tour from Cluj. Travel into the mountains to the village of Posaga de Sus, where you’ll begin an alpine hike through beech forest to Scarita peak, which sits at an altitude of 1384 meters (4541 feet). Due to the altitude and difficulty of the hike, participants require a moderate fitness level for this tour. Tour suited to those interested in flora and fauna, hiking, and photography. The trip starts at 8 o'clock in the morning with a pickup from your accommodation in CLuj-Napoca. Our hike started at Posaga village, followed by an abrupt path through a beech forest, which led to an alpine zone with an exquisite sight to the calcareous, white cliffs. We passed by some abandoned wood hovels, than climbed to the ridge, reaching the highest peak. On the hiking, route will be full of wildflowers and fungi which we will identify :) On our return if we have time left we will visit a beautiful waterfall that is called Sipote and Dumesti village. In the evening we will take you back to your accommodation in Cluj-Napoca.

Tudor was a brilliant guide from the very beginning, picking us up right on time from our accommodation in Cluj, and even offering us a delicious welcome chocolate bar! From there we made our way towards Cascada Șipote, making a quick stop for the view near Cheile Turzii. Tudor really brought the place to life, sharing lots of interesting facts about everything from local history and architecture to wildlife and conservation. The main hike wasn't too challenging, but definitely would be tricky without a guide, so we were very happy to have one, and Tudor even supplied us with hiking sticks. Snacks were also provided, as well as delicious home made sandwiches for lunch, which our group of 5 enjoyed chatting in the sun on a picturesque grassy slope. Overall an excellent day trip for anyone visiting Cluj/Ttansylvania. 10/10 would recommend!

Perfect relaxing hike! I had booked this tour and let Tudor know that my mother would be joining and he made sure he modified the tour to her needs. He helped my mom and cheered her on and made the experience so special for the both of us. Definitely book this tour for a relaxed hike!

Wonderful experience, our Tudor Guide always cared about our physical level and adapts the pace to it. Very complete route in which we saw many things and the landscape did not disappoint. It gave us a lot of information about its culture, nature and environment. Very interesting and 100% recommended

I couldn't have booked a better tour than this one in Roemenia! Tudor the tour guide was a simply lovely! He was really nice and had amazing story's about the landscape and in general! He pointed out some amazing highlights and was really helpful! The hike was beautiful too and I'll place it in my top 3 hikes of all time (and I have done a few). So if you have any doubts about booking it, just do it! I had an amazing time and when I'm back in roemenia I'll definitely come back for another tour from him!

A wonderful trip with Chrly tours. Tudor is an amazing guide. Took me through a mountain circuit in Scarita Summit. We visited the Sipote waterfall ( beautiful rocks and a mesmerizing waterfall). After we finished the circuit we headed to the waterfall Vânătările Ponorulu. The view while driving and getting to the top of the mountain was breathtaking. The waterfall was spectacular as it was very interesting because it had a pool (not accessible but nice view). And finished the trip with a very nice small train called Mocănița Apusenilor which is situated a little bit higher than the road so you can have a splendid view of the river Aries and the mountains.

We had the best time!!…as always! It is our 5th or 6th tour with Curly Guide Tours in the past four years and we keep coming back to them because they are just that awesome: professional, FUN!!, educational and relaxing. In this tour my family got to see amazing views while experiencing hiking the Apuseni Mountains. Tudor has the best personality and he is able to entertain all ages, even the very young explorers. My friend and I are not experienced hikers, and we just wanted a beautiful, slow, botanical hike with a focus on plants, nature and wildlife. Andrei was the perfect guide/host, adapting the pace and route to our rhythm and needs. He is very knowledable and easy going. It was a truly magical day that we will remember always! Had a fabulous day trekking with guide Tudor. Went up Apuseni through ancient forest to simply magical waterfall. Trail was off the beaten track (didn’t see anyone all day) but not challenging for fit hiker. Passed through wild flower meadows and to top it off saw a Golden Eagle. Tudor spoke perfect English and was passionate about his Country and the local ecology.

From the start to the end , it was an amazing one day trip . To go there , we passed some incredible remote villages and monasteries. The hike was incredible , literally in the middle of nowhere surrounding by mountains. Springtime means a lot of flowers and perfect conditions to enjoy the sport and the views. the hiking sandwich was delicious !
