Mounis was an amazing guide and brought us to all of the important sites in a way that did not feel rushed. He also added great commentary and was accommodating to our family’s preferences. He had a great personality and we highly recommend him.

Amazing tour guide! Very knowledgable of local history, and he took us to amazing shops where we could see live handicraft demonstrations but weren’t pressured into buying anything (I did anyways of course). Funny guy too

Upon arrival in Fes, it was clear that without a guide - you would easily get lost! As there are many small alleyways and streets going off in every direction. So, thank goodness for our wonderful guide Mouanis. Mouanis was local and had lived in Fes all his life so he was extremely knowledgeable of all the fantastic local attractions - The oldest tannery in the world, the cabinet makers former hotel (from 200years ago) which is now a museum. Mouanis was also warm and friendly and made us both feel very comfortable and relaxed. I highly recommend Mouanis as your guide around the old city of Fes.

On our first full day in Fes, Mouanis showed us many of the highlights and taught us about the history of the Medina. We spent 5 hours together and it was a great way for us to get so much more out of our time in Fes. Mouanis, was friendly and great with our kids. He was a wealth of knowledge and answered all of our questions, no matter what they were. I’d recommend anyone hire him in a heartbeat!

Lovely way to spend our first morning in Fes. Our guide met us at our Riad. Good introduction to such a confusing Medina. (Even afterwards however I don’t know that my navigation skills are going to be much better- ha!). His English is excellent. Super friendly. Easy to ask questions to. Much more pleasant to have our own guide than to be in a large group of tourists that we saw in the Medina. Note- you are going to see the craftspeople making bronze, cloth, leather, carpets, spices and oils - so come prepared to purchase if you desire. Each area the guide has a person from the workshop show you how things are made, and then of course the shop is hoping you buy something. I’m assuming the guide at the shop is working on commission. That always feels a little awkward to say, “no thank you, maybe later” so much. He brings you to high quality places. Not sure I could get back to a shop but I didn’t want to purchase during the tour. I would highly recommend this tour guide. Keep up the great work.

Mouanis was without a doubt the perfect guide - a true local born in the Medina he has nothing but the best to offer as a guide. He knew a variety of great places to go, knew the best places to eat was happy to negotiate with vendors on our behalf his English was perfect he was filled with historical and current information, and none of it was boring.. Mouanis is obviously well loved and highly regarded in his community with good reason, he’s a true gentleman and a gem of a human being. Mouanis was open to a variety of conversations and we felt completely safe and at ease with him within that maze that is just home. I felt incredibly lucky to have him as my guide.
