  Had a really amazing day exploring a region I knew very little about. Ecaterina, the guide was an absolute joy to hang out with all day. Even though I had just met them, it felt like I was hanging out with friends all day long. They did a great job of making everyone comfortable and having a really lovely time especially since we spent 11 hours together or so.   Marcel is an excellent guide, everything was perfect. Very interesting experience if you want to know Gagauzia and Gagauz culture.

  Gagauzia is a very interesting place to visit, but you should remember that this trip is going to focus mostly on ethnography.

  A fantastic tour! Nicolai was a brilliant guide, offering insight in a thoughtful, intelligent and reflective way, bringing us to a full understanding of this unique region and its people. He collected us from our apartment, gave us clear details in advance, and took us to see both the key sites and photo opportunities and place of insight and interest into the history and culture of Gagauzia. He was open to our questions to understand both history and the current political context, and was a pleasure to spend the day with. Highly recommend!

  We booked a private tour for 2. But were put on a group tour. A terrible cramped mini bus, lots of time wasting, and no " guiding" or info at all when we were driving from our guide in his comfy seat at the front. We had only 30 minutes in the most important place, Comrat, that we wanted to see. Our group doubled in size for the tour of the Mansion, when our guide accepted another 6 random people on our guided visit. His translation was poor, as we discovered because luckily our group included Russian speakers. We would not have booked a group tour, as could easily have arranged a driver for the day from our Chisinau hotel. We asked the guide to allow us to remain in Comrat ourselves and be picked up later, but he refused. So much for flexibility and a personal trip. Our request for a partial refund through Viator was met with a blank refusal. Avoid this company.

  The excursion was interesting, especially it was interesting to talk with the guide Marina. But in addition to the excursion, I would recommend the Moldova tours agency with which I had also done another excursion: they are very precise and reliable, I really enjoyed it.

  One of the best and most informative tours I have ever done. Nicolai, an intelligent and historically skilled leader, himself from Gagauzia, is an interesting conversation partner who has been able to introduce me to the country in all its facets.

  knowledgeable guide well versed in the area's history as well as the country's geopolitical/economic context. Nikolay himself was from gaughazia. i enjoyed the trip a lot - at the same time do set your expectations right before going on this tour. the things you will appreciate will be a lot more subtle than say other tours in modolva. in terms of sights you will get to see the countryside a lot. gaughazia itself is full of soviet statues and murals. the real thing to be on the lookout for is really the complexity of the social context and demography. and how it contrasts chisinau.

  Taking a guide to visit Gagauzia is certainly a good idea, without, difficult to find and access points of interest, or to see and understand the differences with the rest of Moldova. Nikolai was a very good guide, knowing the area perfectly, with very good topic of conversation.
