A small, personalized group size makes this evening wildlife discovery tour in Jasper National Park an exciting visual and educational experience for everyone. Your guide is trained to seek out all of the park’s most iconic creatures. Big or small, there are lots of animals to see in Jasper! Elk, deer, big-horned sheep, mountain goats, foxes, coyotes, wolves and moose are just a sample of Jasper’s many wild mountain animals.

Traveling through the Athabasca Valley, your guide will show you some of the park’s most beautiful scenery, so have your camera ready to capture some amazing photos! Your guide is trained to seek out the park's most fascinating wildlife, and is well-versed in the history, geology and ecology of the area and is happy to answer any questions you may have. The selected route is at the discretion of your guide, so you'll have the best chances to spot elk, deer, big horned sheep, mountain goats, foxes, coyotes, wolves, and moose and more. Snap photos from your van or on the ground at a safe distance from the animals. Jasper National Park is not a zoo but a wild, protected area. The types of animals seen on the tour depends on the season, the time of day, and the weather. You'll learn all about the ways the animals contribute to the rich diversity of the park. You'll be returned to your hotel after your tour.

The guide is Lovely. Except that it’s an absolute desastre. You just drive to the maligne Lake with the same road as everyone else. You take a picture of an eagle that evryone on the road stops to see. We did the road on the morning on our own and saw much more wildlife. See a wild animal is for sure chance, but you Pay an expansive amount just to take the road on a bus which has less visibility than a car. To conclude if you have a car just take the road to maligne lake and you have it (and your money).

Really good experience. Went end of May 2025. Lucky enough to see black bears and a grizzly with 2 cubs. Moose, bald eagle with chicks and deer and elk. The tour ran an hour or so over as there was lots to see! The tour guide gave some really good commentary and stories.
Highly recommended and a must do if visiting Jasper

We really enjoyed this tour. Peter was very knowledgeable about the Jasper area and wildlife. We saw a number of the local wildlife and even though we didn’t get to see any bear, it was a fantastic trip.
You won’t walk away empty.

This tour was truly amazing. I have never seen so much wildlife. We have gone on similar tours with disappointment. Plenty of mouse , bears etc. thank you.

This was a great tour with SunDog tours! Guide Geoff was knowledgeable and funny. We were able to see lots of wildlife and even an elusive Grizzly bear! A black bear, a large bull elk as well as a female elk apparently ready to calve, lots of big horn sheep, mule deer and white tail deer. Thank you for an amazing experience
