Your tour will take you through the city’s most important landmarks, including the Archaeological Museum with its treasured artifacts, the hilltop Citadel offering panoramic views and ancient ruins, and the grand Roman Amphitheater, a striking reminder of Amman’s classical past.

Bethany Jordan River Baptism Site of Jesus

Next, you will continue to Bethany, known in the New Testament as Bethany Beyond the Jordan. This sacred site marks one of the most significant events in Christian tradition — the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist in the waters of the Jordan River. The serene atmosphere of this holy place offers a moment of reflection and connection to biblical history. In the evening, return to Amman for dinner and an overnight stay.

Jerash Ruins

Today, journey north to explore Jerash (ancient Gerasa), one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the Middle East. Part of the Decapolis, Jerash has often been called the “Pompeii of the East” for its remarkable state of preservation. Walk through time as you discover grand theaters, ancient churches, towering temples dedicated to Zeus and Artemis, an ornate nymphaeum, and colonnaded streets that still echo with history. After lunch, continue to Umm Qais (ancient Gadara), a city once renowned in antiquity. From here, take in breathtaking panoramic views of the northern Jordan Valley, the shimmering Sea of Galilee, the dramatic Yarmouk River gorge, and the distant Golan Heights. Mount Nebo

This morning, transfer to Madaba, the "City of Mosaics." Continue to the Church of the Apostles, home to additional mosaic masterpieces that showcase the artistry of the Byzantine era. Next, journey to Mount Nebo, the sacred mountain where Moses stood to view the Promised Land before his death. Petra

Today you will explore Petra, the legendary “rose-red city” and Jordan’s most celebrated treasure, honored as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. According to tradition, the nearby Wadi Musa (“Valley of Moses”) is where Moses struck the rock to bring forth water for his people. Petra is also linked to Mount Hor, believed to be the burial place of Aaron, brother of Moses, now known as Jabal Haroun (Mount Aaron). Once a flourishing Nabataean capital, Petra thrived as a key trading hub before its decline under Roman rule after Emperor Trajan’s annexation. For centuries it lay hidden in the desert sands until Swiss explorer Johann Ludwig Burckhardt revealed its splendor to the modern world in 1812. Dinner and overnight stay in Petra.

Wadi Rum Protected Area

Today your journey takes you south to the magical desert landscapes of Wadi Rum, often called “The Valley of the Moon.” Step into a 4x4 jeep with a local Bedouin driver and set off on an unforgettable adventure through sweeping red sands and towering sandstone mountains. Along the way, you’ll visit Lawrence’s Spring, Um Fruth Rock Bridge, Lawrence’s House, the great sand dunes, Mount Burdah, the ancient Anfaishiya inscriptions, and the dramatic Barrah Canyon. Enjoy a leisurely morning in Aqaba, Jordan’s vibrant Red Sea port city. Take time to relax on the beach, go snorkeling among colorful coral reefs, or glide across the water on a glass-bottom boat. For those who prefer to stay on land, Aqaba also offers lively souks and shops for a bit of browsing. In the afternoon, depart north along the scenic Wadi Araba road toward the Dead Sea. Along the way, stop at Lot’s Cave, a site steeped in biblical history. According to the Old Testament, this area was once home to the infamous cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, destroyed for their wickedness. Nearby lies the story of Lot’s wife, who, for looking back, was turned into a pillar of salt. Arrive at your Dead Sea resort in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast at your hotel, it’s time to bid farewell to Jordan. Check-out is usually around noon, but you may leave earlier if your flight schedule requires. When ready, transfer directly to Queen Alia International Airport for your departure flight.
