The Blue Lagoon might be closed to visitors from May until October because of the breeding season of a rare bird species.
You need to climb 1260 stairs to the top of the Tiger Cave Temple, so a degree of physical fitness is required. Once you make it to the top, you are rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding countryside with all the limestone cliffs and beautiful lush rain forest. If you think the climb to the top might be too tough for you, you can also visit the temple on ground level.
Maximum number of participants per group is 10 persons.
There are wild monkeys at the Tiger Cave Temple. You must always remember that, no matter what, monkeys are wild animals, not pets. Even though they may look cute, we always recommend to keep your distance, not bring any food with you and keep all your belongings in your bag.

Emerald Pool (Sa Morakot)
During a short hike through the forest, you have the opportunity to explore an intact ecosystem. Sure you will be impressed by the unique ambience of the rainforest. The Emerald Pool or also called ‘Sa Morakot’ is a unique natural pond with a visually limpid blue color and wonderfully warm waters, making it a stunning spot for swimming in. An abundance of minerals from the surrounding limestone hills gives the pool its jade tone. Nearby the Emerald Pool you'll find the Blue Lagoon, a beautiful pool with deep aquamarine-blue water. But don’t be tempted to take a dip in the lovely looking blue water, because unlike in the Emerald Pool you can’t swim here at all! The bottom consists of quicksand and the water temperature varies between 30 and 50 degrees Celcius. After visit to the Emerald Pool and Blue Lagoon we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant (approx. 1 hour - lunch is for own expenses). National Park fee THB 400 per person is not included and has to be paid cash.
Namtok Ron (Hot Spring Waterfall ) - Khlong Thom
Namtok Ron is located in a shady green forest area with numerous hot springs. The hot springs and cool streams converge on a slope to form lovely cascades of warm water. The water comes from volcanic chambers deep underground. Therefore the water always has a beneficial temperature of 35 to 42 degrees Celsius! You can relax in one of the many natural hollows in the creek and watch the water gently cascade into the cool pools. Hot Springs fee THB 200 per person is not included and has to be paid cash.

4.00Emerald pool/hot springs/dragon cave tour was good with this operator, Wonder Siam. All the attractions are nice, however crowded and very busy. Wear a bathing suit with hiking water sandals like Keens. (not flipflops). The dragon cave is a tough climb to the top of a mountain about 1260 steps, some stair risers are 14in high. If you are in decent shape it is doable. And worth the work for the view. Up and down with rests and viewing took me about 1hr 30min. A critique on the operator: they said pickup at McDonald's in Ao nang. However, there are 2 McDonald's in Ao nang and never gave clear definition as to which one. You want to go to the one on the beach directly infront of the ocean. I figured it out by googling, but other people went to the wrong McDonald's. The guide said it happens almost every day. They need better English skills and clarify this in the briefing.

4.00The excursion to the Emerald Pool and the baths, great. The visit to the temple and the tiger cave pretty bad. We were in a hurry, in fact we ate in 30 minutes, and yet we arrived at 2 in the afternoon, with all the sun, and did not feel like climbing 1260 steps. Perhaps it would have been better to go first to visit the temple, and then relax in the pools. The food pretty good for 300bth both

3.00The tourist attractions themselves were well composed. Very nice nature experience and swimming in Emerald pool. It was probably the highlight along with the delicious lunch buffet. The hot springs were with good, Tiger temple overrated, way too tough climbing narrow and high stairs for one with mediocre fitness. What unfortunately drags down the experience is the guide, who was nice, but gave far too little information about the sights we visited. I missed the feeling that you usually have after a full day with a guide, to be enriched with a little more knowledge about the place / country you visit. Unfortunately, he acted more as a transporter and photographer. He was also very old and walked very slowly so we had to wait for him, and he could not be bothered to go on all parts of either walking or climbing, and we often had to stop for his several toilet visits. He was unfortunately more of a liability during the day.

2.00It was hard to follow our guide Otto’s english. He couldn’t explain very well to our questions. Timetable that is shown in the app was not accurate. It felt like most activities were in a rush. But the car was very nice and comfortable and it was a smooth ride.
