Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque
The first sight on the tour is Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque which is truly a masterpiece of the world architecture. It took 6 years to erect it and in 2001 it was successfully opened. This mosque is a traditional light Islamic building made from sandstone and marble. It has got 5 minarets – one main and 4 side minarets which create a special distinctive look. The internal design is rich in mosaics, huge handmade Persian carpets and chandeliers decorated with crystals.

5.00This was such an amazing trip thank you to Mohammed who is a truly great guide! He was considerate, funny and shared some fantastic insights. The tour felt very insightful and not too rushed at all. We had time to soak all the sights in and learn about Omani culture. 100% recommend

5.00Mohammed Aldighaishi was the guide for our group and did a great job, his great personality lifted the tour to another level. He also gave advice on fair prices for the stop at the souk. The tour itself was very good aswell, a great way to see the main highlights of Muscat and get a feel for the city and culture of Muscat. Thank you Mohammed for the great day!

5.00Great insight into the culture of the country. We had a wonderful guide with Mohamed who not only explained but made the whole tour an experience. Lots of information about the country and people. We will all remember this beautiful day in our best memories.

5.00This tour was very well managed by the lovely Mohammed Aldighaishi who was friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. It was wonderful to get to know more about Omani culture and traditions and how better to do that than through an native Omani?! The tour highlight was the Grand Mosque for me which was truly spectacular. We had a lovely tour group from different parts of the world - we all got on well. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Oman for the first time. You would be lucky to have Mohammed as your guide :-)

5.00Be prepared for a little extra time for this tour than advertised by Viatour - our guide Mohammed Aldoghaishi was superb. Great knowledge at all of the stops. Easy to understand and very friendly and provided additional useful advice to make the best of my time in Oman. Very flexible in terms of dropping people off at the end of the tour. All in all a fantastic day out - thanks Mohammed
