Good day out with great and informative commentary The bus tour was worth it if you've not visited Rottnest before Plenty of Quokka to see

Our tour guide, Eli, was exceptionally knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and easy to understand. Cos, the driver, was friendly, polite, and safety conscious. The bus tour provided an opportunity to see most of the island in a short time. We enjoyed the short walk at the furthest point, where our guide excitedly pointed out the dolphins surfing the wave. Other than that stop, we did not exit the bus until the end of the tour, but Cos safely stopped numerous times so we could see and photograph what Eli was pointing out.

There is more to do at Rottnest Island than I imagined. There were a lot of people there, but once we got away from the settlement it spread out. We did the discovery bus which was an easy way to see the whole island. Our guide, Eli, was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He pointed out lots of wildlife. We got the included lunch which was limited. Next time I would do lunch on our own since there’s plenty of places to choose from. We saw lots of Quakkas. We ended up getting an earlier ferry back since there wasn’t time to do the hop on hop off bus.

Rottnest island was a so-so experience. I’m not a fan of the Quokkas which are the main attraction. There are nice beaches to hang out at during the day and I am sure it would be fun with a group of friends. There are more interesting activities to do if you are short on time.
