The Biorock is a reef restoration project that was started in 2000, which Bali Diving Academy has been actively supporting ever since. The reef is located right in front of Bali Diving Academy and perfect for both experienced and student divers. Non-diving family and friends will also enjoy the snorkeling here and be fascinated by the artificial structures mixed with natural reef!

A certified Padi instructor will be with you every step of the way.

During Theory, pool session and the actual open water dive.

It will be a day to remember.

Discover scuba diving is a program open to anyone who is aged 10 years or above. You can experience diving without becoming a qualified diver. Our PADI dive instructors will teach you some basic dive theory, and guide you through the process of taking your first breaths underwater. Your instructor will first explain the basic principles of diving to you and conduct a self-assessment medical survey. Then we will proceed to the pool. During the pool session, our professional PADI instructors will guide you through the process of taking your first breaths underwater with scuba gear , and will also teach you some basic underwater skills. Once you are comfortable and had the chance to swim around a bit, it will be time to go for your first actual open water dive at the Biorock Divesite. Although this is not a scuba certification course, you will experience most of what it takes to be a PADI certified diver. If you liked your first dive, it is very easy to continue onwards and get your PADI Open Water Diver certification with our great deal ! The activity time is quite flexible so after booking do get in touch with us to decide the timing.

It was a great tour and I loved the service and the dive would recommend to all from beginner to experienced. There where food and water on the boat and we also got served fruit.

I had an amazing course with the Bali Dive Academy and their crew. Edi was our dive master and we had the best time with him. I feel confident in my new skills and am very excited to keep on diving in the future.

As someone with extensive PADI diving experience (instructor many years back), I would absolutely recommend this dive school - it's well-organised, friendly, safe and offers a great underwater experience! There are many places claiming to be PADI affiliated in Pemuteran but not all of them are genuine; this place is. Karin, who runs Bali Diving Academy, has extensive diving experience and our dive instructor, Edi was great - he's calm, knowledgeable and thorough. I took my daughter here for her first ever diving experience and Edi put her at ease and ensured she understood all the key skills first in the pool before we headed out for a shore dive. I have to confess, I wasn't expecting much from the shore diving in Pemuteran but it was beautiful! The Bio Rock project is far more extensive than I was expecting and offers a perfect, easy introduction to diving. You can't complain if you see turtles on your first ever dive!

Following a family snorkelling excursion to Menjagan Island during our stay in Pemuteran, our children age 10 & 12 decided to try scuba diving! Bali Diving Academy Pemuteran and especially Karin, their instructor, were fantastic from the first moment. Very professional, well organised made the kids experience smooth and easy throughout their DSD, as well as my PADI reactivate course as I hadn't dived for a while. Both the pool and the fun dive included in the package were brilliant. Especially the experience at the Biorock. I would recommend the dive shop and the whole experience to anyone looking to introduce their children to scuba diving!

I had a great time and mind blowing dives with Karin and the 2 Edies! The Edies are incredible spotters, next to seahorses and a pink frogfish we also saw a mimic octopuss🤩 I can highly recommend Karin and her team! They are professional and so much fun! For me they are the best divecenter in Pemuteran. I will come back!

I really enjoyed this as a kind of spur of the moment introduction to SCUBA. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful, and my instructor (Edi) was really good at conveying both the concepts and practical stuff. You learn in the deep end of a pool and then do a dive on the Biorock site, which was also a great introduction.
Cannot recommend highly enough!

I cannot recommend this company highly enough. The children aged 11 and 13 did a taster course in the pool then a shore dive. They then went to Menjangan Island and did 2 dives. The staff were amazing, great with advice and I felt my children were in very safe and professional hands. The dive instructors knew the childrens capabilities and went with that. The kids came out of the water beaming, they had 3 excellent dives.
