My husband and I had a wonderful time learning the basics of Ikebana flower arranging. The instructor was Japanese speaking and the class provided an English/Japanese translator which was great. We created our own Ikebana flower arrangements and it was fascinating that less is actually more for this style of flower arranging. The instructor and translator were so nice and lovely. The place is a bit difficult to find. We were first time Japan travelers and were able to find the place. We definitely recommend this class. It was great! Thank you for a great and educational class!

What a fantastic experience! My son and I absolutely loved Fujino-sensei’s Ohara-style flower arranging class. We learned the basics of this elegant Japanese art, then chose our own flowers to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind arrangements. Fujino-sensei was warm and patient, and Kennedy’s excellent English translation made everything easy to follow. It was relaxing, creative, and a wonderful way to connect with Japanese culture. We left with lovely arrangements and unforgettable memories. I highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Japan!

A fantastic experience. Firstly Fuji sensei delivered a history lesson and demonstration of the style and artistic elements of ikebana. We had a quick shop at the local flower shop and then Fuji sensei guided me in producing my first ikebana arrangement. Watanabe san interpreted when required. Conducted in a beautiful space, a 5 star afternoon.

We really enjoyed this class. It was helpful to have someone translating what Fuji the teacher was saying. After telling us the rules we went and picked our flowers from the local florist and then made our arrangements. The district around the studio is also a great place to explore.

This was a lovely experience. Very peaceful and focused with just my partner and I and the instructors. The teaching space is above a cut cafe in a lovely area of town that's great to walk about in before and after. They give you some history of Ikebana before diving into hands on learning. The instructors were very kind and personable. Highly recommended!
