  We had a great day on the Hole In The Rock experience. The weather was prefect and we got to see some dolphins which is always a great experience were able to go through the hole in the rock. The stop off at one of the islands for lunch was good. All round a great day.

  We had a great experience and seen some magical places and wildlife the skill of the captain was second to none being able to get us up close and even through the hole

  Incredible day perfect weather, we went through the hole in the rock, saw an incredible amount of wildlife encountered a pod of dolphins that stayed with us for awhile as well as a massive school of fish in a feeding frenzy, lots of penguins, a stingray, a bronze whaler shark, lots of birds and some bottlenose dolphins in the distance. Our Skipper Bronwyn was a great tour guide, explained everything that we were looking at, the buffet lunch was good and the bay area was perfect for snorkeling. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone, very easy to do even for people with mobility concerns, a wonderful way to spend a day while in the Bay of Islands. Do remember to reapply sunscreen, the NZ sun has some bite!!

  Unfortunately we had thunderstorms to start the trip so couldn't see much but we did make it out to the hole in the rock which was great! Lunch spot was beautiful, had meal vouchers instead of buffet for lunch due to low numbers. Lovely food but not sure on value for money compared to if we'd had the buffet. Thankfully the weather was glorious for lunch and return trip and we even got to see Dolphins. Informative captain and worth the trip, would recommend.

  We had a simply amazing day! The day started with an on-time pick up with the vessel being excellent and staff extremely friendly and helpful. Heading out to the Hole in the Rock we were extremely lucky that the early cloud lifted. The trip out was a little rough but the staff were great to assist. At the Rock we were taken close to the feature and there was plenty of time for pictures. On the way to lunch a pod of dolphins was sighted. The boat slowed and they came over to say ‘Hi!’. It was an incredible and totally unexpected experience to see dolphins playing and jumping right next to our boat. Lunch at Otehei Bay was excellent and being able to purchase a beer to go with it was appreciated. We were a little late arriving due to the dolphins (but we didn’t mind) and we still had a full hour to eat, refresh ourselves, and walk around. Overall, we had a memorable and very special day.

  Initially I was put off by the price, but when you consider hourly rate, it’s actually very reasonable. The crew were fantastic and happy to answer any questions. The buffet was delicious, and well organised. Unfortunately we didn’t see whales today, but dolphins did join us at one stage. The hole in the rock is very cool, and there was some spectacular New Zealand scenery on show.

  Whole experience incredible especially the 30 odd number in the Dolphin pod we saw. Staff great. Great lunch. Captain very informative as well as staff..

  Bronwyn and the team welcomed us and looked after everyone, sharing information about the islands. Despite the poor weather we did go through the hole and enjoyed the trip. The hot buffet lunch was very good.

  Great trip out to the rock. Experienced female captain waited at the entrance then powered through the hole in the rock! Very cool considering it was a large boat. Urupukapuka was a beautiful spot for the buffet lunch and the food was great. Loved the trip would highly recommend.

  Great day, our skipper was lovely very knowledgeable about the area and marine animals. A great way to see the Bay of Islands
