  Fantastic day, knowledgeable team on the boat who went above and beyond for their passengers. Great lunch at our lunch stop and we even saw dolphins on our way back.

  We had an absolutely amazing time on the Hole in the Rock boat tour! The scenery was stunning from start to finish, and the crew were knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the area. The highlight was seeing the beautiful dolphins swimming alongside the boat — including the local celebrity dolphin, Joe 90! It was such a special and unforgettable experience watching them so close in their natural environment. The trip was well organised, informative, and truly one of the best ways to experience the Bay of Islands.   I didn't see any dolphins, and the boat was rocking. My head hurt. It was a bad trip!The food is not very good either!

  This trip was a little boring, the hole in the rock was the only highlight of all, the buffer lunch was included but the food was not great, disappointed the drink was not included. It was also my first time using Trip Advisor, beware of the currency which I didn't noticed, ended up I was paying more than the local cruise offered plus currency exchange rate. Just booked your trip locally, it has family pass (if you travel with family) which TripAdvisor didn't offer.

  We were lucky, the weather was perfect which always makes for a great experience. The captain and crew were friendly and efficient. The hole in the rock was great to see and the weather being on our side meant we were able to ride through it, yay! The lunch was yummy. A simple selection but delicious.

  Wonderful experience, had fun with my family and learned a lot too on the trip. Great crew and captain !! Enjoyed the whole trip !!! Grandson trying to gain his sea legs too 😅

  We had a great day on the Hole In The Rock experience. The weather was prefect and we got to see some dolphins which is always a great experience were able to go through the hole in the rock. The stop off at one of the islands for lunch was good. All round a great day.

  Incredible day perfect weather, we went through the hole in the rock, saw an incredible amount of wildlife encountered a pod of dolphins that stayed with us for awhile as well as a massive school of fish in a feeding frenzy, lots of penguins, a stingray, a bronze whaler shark, lots of birds and some bottlenose dolphins in the distance. Our Skipper Bronwyn was a great tour guide, explained everything that we were looking at, the buffet lunch was good and the bay area was perfect for snorkeling. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone, very easy to do even for people with mobility concerns, a wonderful way to spend a day while in the Bay of Islands. Do remember to reapply sunscreen, the NZ sun has some bite!!

  Unfortunately we had thunderstorms to start the trip so couldn't see much but we did make it out to the hole in the rock which was great! Lunch spot was beautiful, had meal vouchers instead of buffet for lunch due to low numbers. Lovely food but not sure on value for money compared to if we'd had the buffet. Thankfully the weather was glorious for lunch and return trip and we even got to see Dolphins. Informative captain and worth the trip, would recommend.
