In this tour, we’ll uncover something truly local, authentic, and unique: The Secret Marrakech!
We’ll begin our walking tour from the iconic Jemaa El Fna square, then weave through the narrow streets of the Medina, heading toward the historic Jewish Quarter (Mellah). There, we'll visit a 15th-century synagogue and explore the largest Jewish cemetery in Morocco.
Next, we'll stop at a traditional public oven (Ferran) to witness how Moroccan bread is baked using centuries-old methods passed down through generations.
We’ll then wander through the colorful and vibrant souks of Marrakech, where you’ll encounter working artisan shops—leather crafters, blacksmiths, wool dyers, and many other hidden gems that most visitors miss.
Finally, we’ll circle back to Jemaa El Fna, ending the tour filled with unforgettable sights, stories, and the true essence of Marrakech.

Jemaa el-Fnaa
This is the very famous square in Morocco, a place so full of life and activity. Here you can enjoy a show of acrobats, local musicians, snake charmers ... and many more. The square is quiet during the day and it gets busier late in the afternoon and during the evening time.
Slat Al Azama Synagogue
This synagogue dates back to the end of the 15th century, and was founded by the Sephardim jews who were expeled from Andalucia (Spain & portugal) back then. It's the oldest in Marrakech, and is still actif since its foundation. It also hosts a beautiful museum for jewish history and culture in Morocco.

We had a private walking tour with Chafik on our very first day in Marrakech, and it was honestly the best way we could have started our trip. Chafik has incredible knowledge of both the city and Morocco’s history, but what made the experience special was how he brought everything to life in a way that felt personal and engaging. He didn’t just take us to the main historical sites, but also showed us smaller, hidden places we would have never found on our own. He was very accommodating to our pace and any personal requests, which made the tour feel tailored just for us rather than something generic. This experience really set the tone for the rest of our trip, and we walked away feeling much more connected to Marrakech. Would absolutely recommend and would 100% do it again. There’s no better way to start your time in Morocco.

We spent an afternoon walking around Marrakech with Chafik. It was our first time in Marrakech, and he made an itinerary that was a perfect balance of local culture, history, traditions, and shopping! His English was flawless, and he was considered and thoughtful throughout the tour. He even kept in touch over the following days with other recommendations, and to answer questions. We really couldn't ask for a better example of Berber hospitality. Thank you!

Today my husband and I enjoyed a two-hour guided tour of the souk with Chafik, and it was an absolutely fabulous experience. We’ve been to Marrakesh many times and have wandered the souks often, but because they’re such a labyrinth, we’d always found ourselves doing the same loops again and again. This time was completely different. Chafik took us right into the heart of the souk and far beyond, opening our eyes to areas and details we would never have discovered on our own. His knowledge of everyday Moroccan life is incredible, and he shared so many fascinating insights that truly brought the souk to life. His understanding of the history is equally impressive and was woven seamlessly into the tour. Chafik’s English is superb, which made everything easy to follow and really enhanced the whole experience. If you’re looking for a guided tour of these extraordinary historic pathways that have survived for centuries, look no further — this tour is highly recommended.
