Our tour programme is really unique, during one day guests visit 6 interesting, different locations in the canyons of Charyn River.
In addition to walking inside the popular Castle Valley Canyon (Location # 1), we offer guests a visit to the observation deck, the view from the top of Castle Valley Canyon is a breathtaking view of the entire canyon (Location # 2).
Next we visit Moon Canyon with a truly lunar, ethereal scale, the ground turns from a burgundy colour to a yellow hue (Location # 3).
The next stop on the route is "Stone Shelf", a place with volcanic activity a million years ago (Location # 4).
The "Napoleon" location includes an unforgettable view of the main canyon of the Charyn River and a huge amount of free space (Location # 5).
The last point of the route is the "Austrian View" - the turns of the Charyn River take shape in the form of a giant snake, bordered by the green edge of an ancient tree - turanga (Location # 6).

Charyn Canyon National Park
A one-day trip to Charyn River canyons, including trekking, visiting six unique, exciting locations. ITINERARY 07:30. Departure from Almaty city to Charyn canyons. 10:30. Arrival at the Valley of Castles canyon (Location # 1). Walking inside the canyon (2.5 km long). 11:30. Return to the canyon car park. Visit to the panorama overlooking "Castles Valley" from above (Location # 2). 13:00. Departure to the Moon Canyon (Location # 3). Short walk, lunch snack, photo session. 14:30. Departure to the Stone Shelf (Location # 4). 15:15. Entering the volcanic zone of the national park we make a 20-minute stop at a spectacular site overlooking the rocky part of the canyon. 16:00. Transfer to "Napoleon", the panoramic site (Location # 5). 16:30. Visit the final point of the trip - "the Austrian view" panoramic platform (Location # 6). 17:00. Departure to Almaty. 19:30. Arrival in Almaty.

Unfortunately, I needed to make last-minute changes due to illness, but the company was incredibly accommodating and flexible in helping me adjust my plans. Communication was smooth and easy throughout, especially with Anna, who was very responsive and helpful. Everything was handled professionally, which made the whole situation much less stressful. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with this company again and highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip in Khazakstan.

5.00Super nice experience with Sergey, our driver. He was very friendly and truly wanted to show us the best places around the Chayrin canyon. Nice tunes during the 3-hour trip towards the canyon too! The best part of the experience was that we got to access very exclusive viewpoints where we had the feeling of being alone and away from all the tourists! Best one-day-trip available and worth every penny!

5.00It was a beautiful long day. Sunny unusual warm for this time of year ! Our wonderful guide Mr Yeldar from GreenX drive us and pointed out interesting local natural scenery and cultural spots along the way. Bedside the major typical photo taking spots. We were also drive deep into some stunning unique view points down the valley and up the hill tip. Took some incredible photos ! The evening sunset on the way back is one of the best I remember ever ! Thanks to Yeldar. He is an excellent guide and driver ! The whole experience is priceless ! Lillian C

5.00Great experience!!! Everything was smooth since booking process. Anna was very helpful since I have so many questions and she explained everything clear also give a recommendations including provide useful information for me. I can easily contact GreenX via whatsapp and Anna is alway's there to help. We were in very good hands with our guide "Azamat". Winter is very challenging because a daylight is short but Azamat handled everything professionally. We visited all the place on the program with no rush making the trip so enjoyed! Azamat took a great care for us. He explained things clearly and make sure that we are all comfortable and safe. Overall, 3 words for GreenX: well-organized, flexible, a good care. I would recommend GreenX if you are looking for a reliable company.
An incredible tour to the Charyn canyon

5.00We went on a private tour with Yeldar to the Charyn canyon. Everything was just perfect. The tour was very well organized and Yeldar was such an amazing tour guide and we got to learn so much about the history and the people of Kazakhstan and central Asia. And now coming to the canyon itself, no words or pictures could do justice for how breathtaking it was. And since we had booked a private tour, we had so much time to really take it slow and not to rush and see a 100 things in one day. Also thanks to Azamat, for organizing everything before the trip.

5.00My friends and I did this tour on August 17, 2025. Grigoriy, the tour guide, gave us an amazing experience. He took us to a bunch of spots and we were the only ones there so it was very nice to do some sightseeing with no other tourists around. I'd highly recommend this trip. Everything was planned for us and the vehicle was comfortable. Grigoriy even provided us lunch with veggies from his own garden and eggs from his chickens!

He brought us to experience 4 unique spots in Charyn Canyon & Kolsay Lake to enjoy beautiful scenes and explained the country’s historical events along the way.
