A captivating, interactive and fun activity, Valentina, that mom and Biagio welcomed us with a lot of kindness. We were able to discover the world of bees but above all understand how important they are, we see immediately that Valentina loves these bees she talks about it with a lot of love and respect. We highly recommend this activity of another kind, thank you very much and I hope to see you soon

Our family has agreed that this was our favorite experience during the 2 week trip to Tuscany. We aren’t particularly into bees, but this gave us a chance to see something different, learn something new, and more importantly, to meet a lovely local family. Valentina and her mom were very engaging and fun to talk to and we feel like we made new friends. We would highly recommend this tour!

What a delightful way to spend an afternoon! Valentina and her parents were such gracious and generous hosts. It was inspiring to witness their devotion to the family legacy, the ancestral land and dwellings, and the small creatures that support its existence. L'alveare is certainly a unique experience if one is looking for something a little different to do while visiting Tuscany.

The family is very warm, friendly and helpful. Everything was explained very well and every question was answered. The tasting at the end was also great. Excellent honey, lots of different kinds, we love them.

Very informative, detailed and interesting tour. Friendly family atmosphere, including honey tasting, of the different types of honey. Wonderful location of the farm, however, is the access route via an unpaved and bumpy road.

Beautiful experience, apart from the very bumpy road to get there, all really instructive and exciting, we learned a lot about bees, we wore with a little fear the protective suits and we let ourselves be surrounded by bees, thanks to Valentina for the explanations and her passion and 'impossible not to notice, bought honey and pollen, highly recommended

Fantastic Easter Monday with Valentina, Simone and the whole family. The visit to the Apiary was a wonderful experience. Valentina is prepared and engaging, she makes you breathe her love for Bees and their world. Great work by Simone who entertained the participants after the guided tours. Thanks also to Geneva for the visit to the Alabaster quarry and for the explanations related to the surrounding territory. Not least thanks to Sandra and Fabrizio for the hospitality and for making the Fontesettimena Farmhouse the place that is... Do it again!

We spent a wonderful Easter Monday as guests of Valentina and Simone (the owners). Visit to the Apiary very interesting and instructive. Valentina really very good at explaining. Simone instead very professional always attentive to the needs of its guests. Beautiful farm and impeccably maintained by Sandra and Fabrizio (parents). Congratulations for making us spend a beautiful day. Highly recommended.

We took advantage of the Easter holidays to combine a trip to Volterra with the experience of discovering the world of bees. The visit takes place in the apiary, where you can see up close and in complete safety how the life of bees in the hives takes place. A fascinating world for animals so small and so incredibly skilled. Valentina explains to adults and children how bees build their cells, how they produce honey, what the queen bee does and many other interesting things about their lives, while the father from outside shows it concretely. The funniest thing? The race to find the queen bee among the thousands of bees in the hive! Let’s move on to tasting! It is impossible to resist the thousand types of honey that are produced here, from the most classic millefiori to the most sought after ivy honey. One better than the other! Super recommended for a meaningful experience for the whole family!
