We offer you the visit of the whole island of Tahiti Nui, while enhancing our tours through rich commentary, combining history, geography, local culture and the life of the sites, through a knowledge of the most beautiful panoramas of the island. Your guide will take care of you from your accommodation to reveal you with charm the essentials of Tahiti. You will discover the famous Tahiti Islands Museum & Islands, the beautiful Mara’a Caves as well as the beautiful black sandy Taharu’u beach, the Vaipahi Botanical Garden. You will then pass through the wild coast of Tahiti to reach the spectacular Faarumai Valley waterfall.
Passing by the surf spots of Papenoo, we will complete the tour through the historic site of Point Venus and its famous lighthouse.

Also known as Te Fare Iamanaha, it is ideal for learning the history DE French Polynesia, DE its population to the evolution DE its uses and customs over time. Renovated EN 2023, you will enjoy a pleasant visit, with a large garden and a view of the sea. (During the museum’s closing days, normally on Mondays and on days with a high influx DE visitors due DE arrivals of cruise ships, the museum visit will be replaced by the archaeological site of Marae Arahurahu).
Maraa Grotto
Set amidst lush vegetation, the Mara'a site includes three natural caves carved into the rock. Permanently pouring water formed pools of fresh, clear water. Many vegetations (ferns, mosses) hang from the ceiling of each cave.

Buyer beware: Operator cancels tours at last minute

1.00We had stayed an extra day just for the Tahiti tour. But just in the morning of the tour, I get an email saying that the tour was cancelled because they were insufficient people. Just 2 days earlier I had reached out to them and they had confirmed the pickup time and the tour.
Not a happy traveller, unreliable company.

1.00We never got to go on trip. We had a message before leaving home with our tickets and a message to say they would contact us what time to meet by TEXT or WHATSAPP. We never received the message. There was two times 9.00am or 12 midday We weren’t able to be off the ship in time for the morning trip but did go for the afternoon. We finally found someone who told us we were on the morning tour and they were extremely rude. They had sent the message to my email which I don’t have on my phone!!!!!!

Amazing Day with An Organized Tour and Excellent Guide

5.00This was just an amazing day! Using a very organized Tour Company, Taina Tahiti Tours, we were able to have our shore excursion planned well ahead and work out just like we planned. The entire group that had signed up was easily organized into three smaller groups of 7 each. We were then sent on our way at exactly the time scheduled. When I was looking for options for Papeete, I found very few tours that offered seeing sites and towns around the island that were not bouncing around in a four wheel drive vehicle, or out on the water in a boat. We just wanted to explore the island, see some beaches, waterfalls, towns and the city of Papeete. This was the perfect tour with a great guide, Loni, who told us so much about Tahiti, the people, the history and everywhere we saw. It was exactly what we wanted. We moved quickly which allowed us time to wander the city and market of Papeete, as well. As we sent pictures of everything we saw during our tour our adult kids responded with the following words, "Perfection", "Dreamy", "Obsessed with it". I would add that anyone with even one day here should take this shore excursion so they don't miss even one bit of the road that circles Tahiti Nui! That is what this tour does!

5.00Great. Our driver Niiki was excellent. Tour in small 7 person mini van. Tour started and ended on time. We did a full circle of the island. Water and snacks didn’t reach our van due to issues with the tour company.

3.00Chaos from the beginning due to one small shuttle bus not arriving Our large bus departed one hour & ten minutes late. We missed the visit to the museum which the entrance fee was included with the overall cost of the tour. A promised by our guide of a 50 % refund.
Chaotic start due to Port challenges but worked out well in the end.

3.00Our large cruise ship with over 4,500 passengers challenged the port authorities at Papeete, which then unfortunately had a knockon effect to the local tour/trip operators. It was very chaotic & difficult to manage for everyone. We were eventually led to our minibus with our fellow travellers & had a good trip overall. Our driver and host did a good job despite the stressful start to the day. Cruise lines should avoid visiting Papeete/Tahiti on a weekend or Sunday especially though. And local tour operators like this one should take bookings only for as many passengers as they know they can manage effectively.

3.00This tour was rated quite well by others. That's important to us. We were disappointed by the lack of organization on the day of the tour. We were notified a few days ahead of time that the tour had changed. Instead of vans there would be a big bus because so many people wanted to participate. We don't typically like big bus tours but it was rather late for us to make a change so we agreed to it. Total confusion at the port. There were some people in vans and some people of a big tour bus. No one knew who was to go where. The bus arrived 1 hour after we were to leave. This caused the tour to be extended for 2 reasons, 1 busses just take longer to proceed and 2 we started out late. We were maybe a hour into the tour and the guide had to be swapped out because she was ill. Certainly no helping that but it just added to the already bad start. The replacement was ok. I felt badly for him coming in part way through but he may have lacked experience to take over. He missed out on what I would consider important highlights, especially at Point Venus such as information about Mutiny on the Bounty, the relationship of Robert Louis Stevenson to the lighthouse there. Had we not wandered around we would not have found these things out. I rarely give anything but 4 or 5 out of 5 review with our Viator trips A 3 really indicates it was mediocre and poorly planned. The tour operator/guide indicated she didn't want to turn anyone away so that's why she went with the bus. She should have kept the tour as designed. When you sell out you sell out, people will keep looking. This way of doing it tarnished the reputation of the tour operator, IMO. We were also told by the replacement guide we would be getting a 15% refund. I personally have not seen anything.
