What a great experience and wonderful way to while away a couple of hours. I learned so much about gin and alcoholic drinks in general. Our guide, Louis was exceptional! We were welcomed with a perfectly chilled G&T to sip as Louis talked us through the still and the whole gin making process. We then moved to the bar to do a tasting; what a revelation. I learned how to taste spirits properly, as opposed to how you taste wine. Had my first Bloody Mary (never liked the look of them before). Opened my eyes, it was amazing. Also learned that they should be “thrown”; ask Louis. Aquavit was another first for me, and we ended up buying a bottle. Louis didn’t rush us and we certainly got our money’s worth. Ordered some cocktails and stayed at the bar chatting to him; so knowledgeable about the trade. 10/10 for Louis and 10/10 for Silver Circle.

I booked a distillery tour for a Father’s Day gift and brought the whole family (4 adults and 1 child). We all had a great time as there is lots to see and learn about how the different spirits are made. The tastings were great as, with the experts on hand, we could really appreciate the differences in botanicals and how different tonics accentuated them. Our daughter loved sitting outside watching the cows with her soft drink.

We visited the pop up Silver CircleTasting experience in Chepstow sampling a great selection of gins and liqueurs and learning about the complexities of gin distilling it was very informative and gives you a real appreciation of the science and the technical abilities of the distillers. A fantastic value for money experience being able to sample products unique to the Wye valley.

We booked this tour as a "tailpiece" to a lovely break in the Wye valley and had a superbly warm and informative tour, gaining a real insight into the process of gin making and an added appreciation of the subtleties of flavouring. It was particularly interesting to see and smell the locally foraged herbs and plants in raw form which were then followed through into the award-winning outputs from this enthusiastic and welcoming distillery. This exactly the the mix of enlightened local enterprise, sourcing and employment rural communities have the opportunity to distil for themselves if they are not to become unsustainable.

We've done the Bombay Sapphire tour a couple times which is very formalised although interesting and set in beautiful surroundings with spectacular distilling equipment. We weren't expecting much at Silver Circle but we went with a group of friends and the experience was very intimate and informal and run by people who were very well informed and also interesting and accommodating. We had a great time and actually came away feeling that we'd enjoyed it more than Bombay Sapphire.

Duncan is a very friendly, hospitable owner and gave us a 5 star experience. Its clear he has a real passion for what he does and my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour for our anniversary. Highly recommended, we will be visiting again.

We went for the tour as part of my husbands birthday surprise weekend! For gin lovers it is certainly worth the drive. The passion for their product and the quality of the gin is exceptional. A tour is a stretch in description it is more of an informative taster session but it is excellent value for money. I don’t really drink so my hubby had double measures and was grinning from ear to ear x

This was a brilliant thing to do. Tasting lasted about half an hour- so not too long and boring- but we stayed for around an hour afterwards drinking and chatting to the very knowledgeable staff. It was a lovely walk to and from the distillery. Very friendly staff and great conversation. The gins, vodkas and cocktails were very tasty. We bought some whilst we were there but will definitely buying more online in future. Great little business making delicious alcohol- what’s not to love!

We enjoyed a wonderful tour on a Saturday morning with Duncan who was very knowledgeable and clearly very passionate about the gin distillery process and everything else gin-related. Not only did we receive a gin and tonic upon arrival, but also a sample of four other gins and a bonus one at the end. Great value for money and a nice, friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

We had the most fantastic time at the distillery for my husband's 40th birthday. The host's passion for gin distilling really came across and the information given was so interesting to us all. He was also very accommodating, especially given that we got our times wrong and arrived an hour late! The gins tasted were excellent and sure enough, we came away with plenty for later (though we were under no pressure to buy).
