Souq Waqif
Visit Souq waqif which is the oldest marketplace in Doha. The Souq sells traditional garments, spices, handicrafts, and souvenirs, It is also home to restaurants and Shisha lounges. The original building dates back at least from the 20th Century in a traditional Qatari architectural style.

4.00This is NOT a food tour! The title of this tour is a bit misleading. This is a tour of the souq and Qatar culture, with a traditional meal at the end. We thought it was food tour, and we visited during Ramadan and were very jet lagged - the tour wouldn’t begin until 6pm, and we wouldn’t have dinner after 8pm, which wouldn’t do for us adjusting to the time zone. So we asked the tour operator if we could do a boat tour instead, which they were able to arrange for us. We did that late afternoon and that was fun, and our guide J was good. Just beware that this is not a food tour; it would be better if Viator changes the name of this tour so it would be more accurate.

5.00Javid was excellent. He's very knowledgeable about the area and explained many aspects of life in the region. Great communication prior to pick up and super friendly. Totally recommend to anyone interested in leaning about Doha.

5.00First time in Doha and l love it! Amir was a great guide, very professional, knowledgeable about the Qatar history, and he is very friendly. It’s worth every penny. I really enjoyed the tour and delicious dinner at Souq Waqif.
Recommended if you have a few hours to spare

5.00Emir was a wonderful tour guide. We took photos near the skyline and got to walk around the souq waqif - he took us around the falcon market and we also saw horses and camels. He walked us through various shops and took us to eat at a local restaurant. Recommend this for a short tour!

5.00I love all the details that Javid was able to provide about the country and its culture. The length of the tour is perfect (not too long, not too short) and there’s a good balance between museums and souq. The food came last and it was so so good. We were able to try different dishes and experiences the traditional dining seating! I recommend 100% this tour and also Javid! He was awesome!

5.00We only had one night in Doha and wanted a local guide to show us the Souq. Our guide Javid did not disappoint. He was punctual, courteous and knowledgeable. We saw camels and falcons, the falcon hospital and Arabian horses. It was fascinating. Javid also taught us how to play Damas. Dinner at the restaurant in the Souq was also incredible. We give a 10/10!

5.00Fun tour through the main market of Doha, complete with falcons, shopping, and a delicious traditional dinner! I highly recommend Javid, he was a great guide and very knowledgeable!! I would recommend booking a tour later in the afternoon to see the market at its peak.
