After driving on the dunes, you will have the opportunity to observe the stars and the galaxy in a clear sky, away from the city lights, providing an exceptional experience for space lovers. You can relax under the dark sky, and contemplate the beautiful tranquility of the desert.
To add to the excitement, you can try sandboarding, where you will be given special boards to slide down the sand slopes. If you prefer a traditional experience, you can choose to ride a camel through the dunes to enjoy a peaceful journey amidst the desert nature.
The tour is a combination of adventure and relaxation, allowing you to explore the beauty of the Qatari desert under the open sky.

Great Way to Spend a Layover

5.00Umar Farooq was our driver for our evening adventure. Once we arrived at the dunes, we started with a short camel ride, which proved to be the perfect length. They aren't the most comfortable animals to ride! Next we began our desert safari. It was so fun to zip up and down the sand dunes, and especially exciting to do it in the dark! We stopped to take the most amazing photos, and he had an app that identified the different constellations. This was a great excursion to do during our layover.

5.00This was our first time in Qatar and my family and I had a phenomenal experience. Nawafi was an amazing tour guide. He took us to some of the best hidden gems the Qatar desert had to offer. We explored camel back ridding, dune bashing, star gazing and more! We will never forget this memorable visit and can’t wait to come back again! Thank you so much Nawafi for making our time in Qatar so special. 🙏🏽

5.00Really enjoyed this safari! We went ATV riding, camel riding, and sand boarding. Took scenic pictures, enjoyed star gazing, and drank karak chai. Nawafi really made this activity special for us! He truly enjoys what he does and provides top notch customer service. He’s very kind and considerate to his customers and truly wants to provide them with a great experience. He understands that we are guests visiting and prioritizes his customers happiness

5.00My family and I had tremendous amounts of fun with Nawafi! Picked us up from our location near the pearl and took us to the safari location. Took us about one hour to get there but the roads are empty so you don’t feel the time go by. We went ATV riding (not included in package), camel riding, and sand boarding (don’t recommend at night). Nawafi also took us to scenic areas where we got to stargaze and enjoyed the vibe. He was kind enough to take all our photos. He even bought us karak tea! Amazing service, 100% recommend!!

5.00Great experience with Nawafi, really made it enjoyable, very courteous but also made it an adventure. You get to choose how your experience pans out. Have a (short) camel ride, which is what we did, or hop on a quadbike, or go sand boarding. This then leads on to dune bashing, which is pretty high octane if you let him put his foot down. Best bit - the playlist is banging while you're doing it. He's clearly very experienced as a driver, so we felt safe enough while drifting round on the sand at night. Great fun. Then to a desert lake and finally the seaside. We didn't have the best visibility, but he was a fantastic photographer, and found spots where you could see the stars beautifully. It's Nawafi himself the deserves 5/5 stars. The camel ride was definitely the low point, though still fun - the staff at the camel place took an extra 200 r for the "long" camel ride, which took us 2 minutes up a small hill by a disgruntled chap who actually had to be persuaded by Nawafi from afar to even do that much! I think the camel thing is barely worth it, although at least I know what it's like to ride one. Nawafi got us some karak tea to perk us up before we started, offered us water and funny stories and the whole.thing flew by, didn't feel too long or too short. We went from 8.45 (great communication from Nawafi, and he was happy to change the collection point last minute for us, which saved us a walk to the original rendezvous point) until 1am. The drive out to desert and back took about 50 minutes each way.
Wild and wonderful desert dune tour

5.00We had a wonderful crazy bouncy hilarious bash through the dunes with our very knowledgeable and experienced guide Nawafi. We went as a couple and had a fabulous time. Nawafi made sure every detail was taken care of and put us at ease whilst also ensuring as much fun was had as possible. I would highly recommend him as a tour guide. He took some great photos for us. A wonderful evening out.

5.00Omar was a great tour guide. He picked us up right on time outside of our hotel and was a very safe and welcoming driver. We first went to ride ATV bikes and in my experience, the bikes didn’t work as well as we thought they would, and the shop is located far from the actual entrance to the track which cut into our 30 minute timeslot but I don’t believe that was Omar‘s fault. I think it’s just the relationship the tour company has with the ATV bikes. We chose to skip the camel riding because we felt bad for the camels, although they look pretty well taken care of. The off-roading part in the dunes was really fun - a little bit scary but very fun. There was a pretty bright moon so we didn’t get to see as many stars as one would assume you could see in the desert, but it was still a fun experience and very unique. Although I enjoy the nighttime experience. I also feel that coming in the daytime to the desert is just as important because the sun makes everything look different and I wanted to see the inland sea in all its beauty which is hard to do when everything is just dark in the desert. Overall, Omar was very fun + accommodating + very nice.
