Middleham Falls
Hidden deep within the lush rainforest of Morne Trois Pitons National Park on the Caribbean island of Dominica lies Middleham Falls — one of the island’s most dramatic and rewarding adventures. The waterfall itself cascades from a lofty height — around 70 m (≈230 ft). Surrounding the falls is dense rainforest: giant hardwoods like gommier and chatannyé, towering tree ferns, thick mosses and bromeliads cling to steep slopes. Expect an ascent from roughly 20 minutes up before descending to the falls. The trail includes rocky, muddy sections, often with many wooden steps and stream crossings. Most hikers can expect to take around 1.5 - 2 hrs to complete the hike. Difficulty: Generally rated as moderate.
Titou Gorge
Tucked into the rainforest just outside the mountain village of Laudat, Titou Gorge is one of Dominica’s most magical natural experiences — a place where adventure meets pure tropical beauty. Formed by cooling lava that split apart to create a narrow canyon, the gorge is a series of deep, sculpted rock walls draped in vines and moss, with crystal-clear water flowing through it. Visitors swim right into the heart of the gorge, gliding through a cool, shadowy corridor of turquoise water toward a hidden waterfall that cascades dramatically into the enclosed pool. Sunlight streams through gaps high above, creating shafts of golden light that dance on the water — it feels like entering a secret world carved by nature. The swim is short (just a few minutes each way) and suitable for most visitors — life jackets are usually provided, but the experience is unforgettable: refreshing, thrilling, and otherworldly. It’s not just a swim — it’s a journey into the heart of Dominica’s volcanic soul.

5.00Jason was VERY knowledgeable & friendly.It started out rainy, but Jason ( our guide) adjusted the itinerary. The hike to one of the waterfalls was too long and strenuous. Jason was wonderful - not only adjusting, but helped one of us both up and back the trail.

4.00The hike to Middleham Falls is very challenging and requires 61 fights of stairs and 3.6 miles roundtrip. Junior was a great guide and helped us when needed. We couldn’t swim at the gorge because the water was too high. Trafalger Falls is amazing. The hot springs felt so good at the end. We bought snacks but no lunch stop. It was pouring rain- expect to get wet. No bathroom for first 2-3 hours. Not buggy and well shaded. Recommend this tour if you are fit and love nature.

5.00This tour in Dominica was the last day of our Caribbean trip and we chose to book with Junior on a day’s experience of hiking, waterfalls, caves and other natural wonders to see the holiday to a fitting end. The island needs no explanation as to its beauty but topping off the experience was the excellent care Junior took. He was super friendly and really looked after us, taking real pride in his beautiful island and telling us stories of how he became familiar with many of the places we visited on the tour. From the cave waterfalls and swimming, to the dual falls spectacle and all the knowledge in between. We very much appreciated his efforts and on a subsequent visit would love to do more, as while this was a thorough experience of some of what the island has, there is just so much more to see.

5.00Amazing all-day tour of Dominica! We hiked to Middleham Falls, swam through Titou Gorge, and saw so many beautiful spots around the island. Berani was an awesome guide. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole day fun and easy. Highly recommend this tour if you want to see the Dominica.

5.00What a wonderful tour by Junior. He is very knowledgeable and attentive guide. He even stopped at his family’s house to pick up some grapefruit for us to enjoy. He accommodated and assisted everyone as their skill level required. 10 out of 10!!
