Nestled in the World Heritage Site is the Freshwater Lake, A twenty-five minute drive from Roseau will get you there. It is the largest of Dominica’s lakes and is located in the village of Laudat over 2,500 ft above sea level. The Fresh Water lake is one of the main sources of Titou Gorge, Trafalgar Falls and the Roseau River. It sits at the center of an old volcano at the foot of Morne Macaque. A trail surrounds the lake and allows for some spectacular views from all angles, overlooking Grand Fond and Rosalie. The lake offers a unique mountain ecosystem and stunning natural beauty. The lake is surrounded by montane forest, a forest that grows on mountains at high elevations, characterized by short trees and an open canopy. Visitors can expect a cooler climate, with temperatures often described as chilly, especially at night. The loop trail around Freshwater Lake takes roughly 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete and offers an easy to moderate walking experience. This trail is optional.
Titou Gorge
Titou Gorge is a small waterfall deep in a water-filled gorge burrowed in the heart of Dominica. Located within the Morne Trois Pitons National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Titou Gorge is a remarkable natural wonder that is not to be missed. It invites visitors to dive into its refreshing waters and explore its enchanting caverns. It can be a cold swim, but there's also hot water close by, making it a refreshing stop. The only way to see the waterfall at the end, is to swim upriver through the gorge to reach it but don't be worried life jackets will be provided to ensure a comfortable experience. The swim is short, only about five minutes, and the canopied light filtering down the mountainside within the gorge is spectacular.

5.00We have traveled ALL over and done so many excursions, and this was by far the absolute BEST experience we have ever had!! From start to finish, everything was seamless. Channon was incredibly easy to work with—quick to respond, answered all of my questions, and made scheduling effortless. They were right there waiting for us as soon as we got off the ship, which made everything completely stress-free. Our guides were AMAZING—so patient, attentive, and constantly adjusting to our preferences to make sure we were having the best experience possible. You can truly tell they care. The waterfalls were absolutely stunning, and the entire day felt relaxed, fun, and perfectly tailored to us. Lunch was also fantastic! If you are even thinking about booking this—DO IT. Don’t look any further. This team is incredible, local, and delivers an unforgettable experience. We felt so well taken care of every step of the way. BOOK THIS!! You will not regret it!

5.00I could not find many reviews on this tour or Next Level Hikers but since it was exactly what we were looking for and we have been to Dominica a couple of times, we decided to take a chance and book it. I cannot recommend this tour enough! Channon from Next Level Hikers is so kind and patient. She has so much to share about their beautiful island (as well as Choco-tea...try it!!! It is SOOOOO good!). We were six and had 5 others with us for the day. Be prepared for rain (it is a rainforest!!) as well as a bit of a chill due to the rain. Titou gorge was so much fun and beautiful! Channon was there with us every step of the way. Trafalgar falls was a sight to see. Our driver, Andy, was amazing! We felt so safe and he even had to help other drivers that were struggling to park. It seemed like we missed a lot of the crowds. The hot springs were very nice. Note...for those with balance issues....take a trek pole or two as there aren't any handrails down to the hot springs and you must go down steps. Explore a bit and don't miss the bathtub and waterfalls! We had just the perfect amount of time at each place! Such a great day!

5.00This was by far the highlight of mine and my husband’s trip. We got picked up right at the cruise port and immediately began our journey. The guid was very knowledgeable about Dominica. She never rushed us from one experience to another and we never had to wait to do any of the activities. The gorge was amazing and by far my favorite. The guide went with us and helped us through the entire way. The hot springs were perfect way to relax after a little hike to see the water falls. Our driver was phenomenal and at no point did I ever feel unsafe. He was an excellent driver through some very tight and narrow roads he even got out to assist other drivers who were struggling. The cocoa tea was my favorite and of course the rum punch. All in all we would 100% do again. Thank you so much!

5.00Yannick and Andy couldn’t have been nicer. They love their country and shared many special places with us. The communication was excellent. Yannick reached out days before and sent pictures of the meeting place. Andy was a really good driver and we really enjoyed our tour! We ranked it our favorite. 5 Stars!!!!

5.00My husband and I booked this excursion for the day. Channon met us right outside the port where the vendors end. I love the fact that it was a small group of us. We buddied up with one other group of three. We did several different stops, including champagne lake, the freshwater lake. the gorge, the waterfalls, and the hot springs. I would have to say the gorge and the Hot Springs were our absolute favorites. The gorge water is extremely cold but 100% worth it. The waterfalls were also very beautiful. It was just a short little hike to get there, nothing too crazy. Channon was constantly in communication with us throughout the tour she was very informative and passionate about the island. She had a great sense of humor, which I liked:) we definitely had an action packed day, but most importantly she made sure we got back to our cruise ship on time. I would definitely recommend this tour if you’re considering it!!

5.00The trip was amazing! Our guide was very informative about the island. It was raining pretty hard in the rainforest and she seamlessly navigated the unexpected changes and fit our itinerary to help us get the best experience. We could t go to Ti Tu Gorge due to all of the rain so instead we ate an amazing local lunch and went to Champagne Reef instead. I would highly recommend!
Channon and Andy are great.

5.00Our Dominica Waterfalls and Hot Springs Tour was truly exceptional. Yanni, our guide, brought the entire experience to life with his deep knowledge of the island, warm personality, and genuine passion for sharing Dominica’s beauty. Andy, our driver, was equally wonderful — skilled, friendly, and making every part of the journey feel smooth and safe. What really stood out was how much more this tour offered beyond the waterfalls and hot springs. Yes, the waterfalls were stunning and the hot springs were the perfect way to unwind, but the day was filled with rich cultural insights, hidden scenic stops, local stories, and moments that made us feel connected to the island in a meaningful way. And Titou Gorge is an absolute must — a magical, unforgettable experience that should not be missed. Another huge plus was that all entrance fees were included, which made the day completely stress‑free and allowed us to simply enjoy every moment. The pacing was perfect, the scenery unforgettable, and the overall atmosphere relaxed and welcoming. I left with beautiful photos, great memories, and a deeper appreciation for Dominica. I highly recommend this tour — especially with Yanni and Andy — to anyone looking for an authentic, enriching, and truly memorable day on the island. Perfect for cruisers.
