Earnest and Andre were fantastic! Earnest is extremely knowledgeable and interesting to listen to from atop the bus. He made sure to include all passengers in conversations and made the tour very interactive. Andre was a safe and responsible driver. Great tour!

Trip 6/21/25 at 9:30am - Our tour guide was John and he was hilarious with his jokes relating to the historic sites. My only complaint is that because the bus has an open floor, do not travel down streets that have low tree limbs and low hanging electrical wires. We had to duck a lot and sometimes the branches hit John and passengers. Luckily, there were no injuries. But if someone was not paying attention, they would have been seriously hurt. Change routes and get Philly to cut back those trees and raise the electrical wires. Loved that we could use the other tour bus company to take us back to the Reading Market with no extra charge after visiting the Liberty Bell.

Plan time to take advantage of stops…example might be time for lunch at Market. Time to climb Rocky steps…and so forth.

I have utilized hop on/off busses in many cities around the world, and the one in Philadelphia was genuinely the worst. We had eight different "guides" over the two days as we used the bus to take us between places, and every single person said something completely different about the sites we were seeing. There has to be a standard script of actual facts to begin from, you would think, but two of the people said absolutely nothing about the sites and just talked about themselves and their opinions on things. One female guide gave patently WRONG information, harassed a woman on the street, talked disparagingly about people who had just gotten off the bus, tried to get us to agree with her that the Tesla truck is the ugliest vehicle ever (it is, but it was seriously awkward as she wouldn't let it go until someone agreed with her), and tried to convince us that Christopher Columbus was a good guy and just another misunderstood Italian. Most of the guides also really need to be trained in how to use the microphone. And they will tell you that the busses will come along every 20 minutes, which I am sure they genuinely try to make happen, but that was rarely the case as traffic in Philadelphia is significant. If you can get him, Billy (name tag says William and he has long hair) was the most factually accurate and professional.
