Experience an 8-hour day trip into the remote wilderness of Doubtful Sound, the heart of Fiordland National Park, while nature guides answer questions and point out landmarks. This fiord is home to bottlenose dolphins and fur seals - both are often seen. In season, you may even catch a glimpse of the rare Fiordland crested penguins. Explore Doubtful Sound's vast waterways on board a luxurious vessel. A highlight is experiencing the unique 'Sound of Silence', where you hear only birdsong while floating on the fiord with the engines turned off.

It was terrible. The boat's tour guide taljed every single minute, bar the mandatory 5 minutes of silence. And you couldnt get away from the commentary cuz there are big speakers every where. There is no chance to just enjoy some reflective time anywhere. Experience was awful. Like being forced to listen to a really loud noise for two hours without a break.

A great way to discover a small part of the vast area of Fijordland National Park. Guides on both boats and the coach were friendly and very knowledgeable. Learnt about the geography, geology, flora and fauna of this incredible area. Highly recommend anyone to take this trip

We had a great day with RealNZ. Pretty remarkable that we went on a boat then bus then boat and back the same way without a hitch and on time! The guides were informative and the day was full of multiple falls infil swing due to the light rain since the night before This is one of the few places you want it to rain before or during your journey here!

Outstanding day! It was cloudy when we left Manapouri but cleared into a beautiful clear day by the time we reached Doubtful Sound. All staff were helpful & informative & it was a beautiful experience. Guess a lot will depend on the weather you get though

Only a 20min drive from Te Anau to the boat terminal, and there is plenty of free car parking when you get there. Getting people on the boat to bus to boat worked seemlessly and everything went smoothly. In comparison with Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound is much bigger with more water and what seems like bigger mountains. The captain stopped for a pod of dolphins and also took us to some rocks just out into the ocean which had a lot of seals laying on them. We spent a good amount of time with the seals so everyone could take photos. Information is given throughout the tour. Is very well run.
