The wine trail is about 5km long and easy for everyone to enjoy.
After the trail and the connection with the land, it's time for a well-deserved lunch. Just a few steps away, we’ll take you to the elegant restaurant at Quinta da Pacheca, where you’ll be able to choose from a variety of delicious meals — always paired with exceptional wines.
Highlights:
10:30 AM – Meeting point at Quinta da Pacheca wine estate, followed by a brief introduction to the activity and time for a toilet break.
Then, enjoy about 2 hours of an easy and relaxing walking trail through the beautiful surroundings.
12:30 PM – Time for a delicious lunch served in one of the elegant dining rooms of the Pacheca estate.
2:30 PM – Time for a guided visit to the estate, where you’ll learn about the wine-making process — from Port to table wines. The experience ends with a high-quality wine tasting session.
3:30 PM – Tour ends at the same location where we first met.

This experience takes place in the heart of the Douro Valley, at one of the region’s most luxurious and visited wineries. It begins with a gentle 2-hour walk through the surrounding area of the winery — featuring a few uphill and downhill sections and stunning views over the Douro River. You'll be immersed in a landscape recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After the walk, it's time to enjoy a refined lunch at the restaurant of Quinta da Pacheca, where you'll have the opportunity to taste and pair some of the estate’s finest wines. The experience ends with a guided visit to the old wine cellars, where you'll uncover some of the secrets behind the Douro, its wines, and the history of Quinta da Pacheca. Everything is thoughtfully arranged to offer you a truly memorable wine experience, including a wine tasting moment.

5.00Anna did an incredible job of explaining the Quinta and she answered our numerous questions. She also made sure we were taken care of during the lunch. We all enjoyed the meal, the wine and the porto. Anna is dedicated to her work and she is very nice. We strongly suggest you go see her and spend time with her. It is truly worth it

5.00The guide who took me to Quinta da Pacheca is an incredible person and surprised me because in addition to waiting for me to arrive, she knew that I didn't want to be in that big group and we went to taste the wines in the hotel's restaurant. The hello conversation was so wonderful that the next day I told a couple who had coffee with us to call her and they went to meet her too. The tour is unmissable and the guide, as I expected, was wonderful.

5.00It was a great pleasure to meet Ana and enjoy so much of her experience at Quinta and D’ouro. We spent a fantastic and super pleasant day, as well as a fine and delicious lunch, with good conversation and a delicious menu. Quinta da Pacheca is beautiful and the tour is spectacular. Ana is extremely polite and kind, a sweet person. I recommend!!

5.00Absolutely excellent experience! Ana is the sweetest guide who is also a local from the Duoro valley area and knows a lot about the wineries and local traditions. We had a pleasant visit to the Pacheca winery, tasting, food, views- everything was amazing! Thank you Ana for this great time together!!!

5.00We originally booked this tour. Ana contacted us to say that we could not get a lunch reservation on that day and would we consider another winery. We meet in Cumieire and did a hike through the vineyards. Ana asked about our fitness and tailored a hike to our level. We had a delicious lunch of local specialties and accompanying wine she chose ahead of time. We then had a great tasting at H.O. Winery. Cliff did a gave us a very fun and informative tour and tasting. Ana was very attentive, personable and kind. We will definitely do another tour with her when we return.

5.00Ana took us on a beautiful hike around the vineyard which treated us to perfect views with the right amount of challenge. She was fun and personable, and knew so much about the area. The motivation of a lovely three course lunch paired with wine helped us to get through the 10k hike! We loved the tour and tasting at the winery as well. It was a true highlight of our trip to Portugal and a time we will never forget!
