5.00Tony was awesome! He was extremely knowledgeable about the wines of the region, and being from the area himself, he brought a personal touch that made the experience even more special. The wines we tasted were amazing, and Tony made learning about the different techniques and history behind them both engaging and easy to understand. His passion and local insight really enhanced the entire experience. The personalized care and attention he gave throughout the day truly made a difference and turned it into an excellent experience for us. Thank you, Tony! I highly recommend this tour without reservation.

5.00It was a great way to get to know the Douro Valley. Unfortunately, the river was not navigable and we could not take the boat ride, but it was incredible! We'll be back!

5.00António was the perfect host for this day tour. He lives here and It is his home for him and his family. He picked me up from where I was staying, and I joined 4 other people in a comfortable van. Started the morning off with one hour boat ride. He timed a perfectly before all the crowds got out for their boat ride. He was so knowledgeable about all the wineries and took us to 3 of them for tastings, but the best was when he shared his family‘s personal 25 yr old port! The best tasting was at the Quinto de Santo Antonio We had a delightful lunch in Samosa under the walnut trees and I saw my first very live cork tree!

5.00We spent a fantastic, perfectly curated day with António, learning about the history of the Douro Valley and the production of port. He clearly put so much thought and experience into making our tour memorable. From the boat trip down the river, to port & tonics at Crofts, to the viewpoint where António generously shared the port he makes, to wine tasting at Dios Lagares and finally, lunch in the magical garden at Casa dos Barros (with more port tastings!), the day could not have been more perfect. It’s hard to imagine a more wonderful guide—António is so personable, patient, interesting and knowledgeable. So glad we chose this tour!

5.00My husband and I booked this as one of our honeymoon activities and it was perfect! Antonio took us to all the best spots with plenty of wine tastings spread throughout the tour. He was also very helpful in taking pictures of us throughout our time which was greatly appreciated and my favorite photos of us from our trip! The views were beautiful, the wine was amazing and we learned a lot about how the grapes are grown and processed in the region. Since we have gotten home we have just been gushing about our trip and particularly this tour. Highly recommend touring Duoro with Antonio, I wouldn't do it any other way when we come back!
