This Downtown Culinary Tour is provided by CHARLESTON CULINARY TOURS, the longest-running food tour company in Charleston. Visit four food establishments on this 2.5-hour tour that combines elements of a historical tour with a culinary adventure! Learn about Charleston's history as you enjoy tastings of traditional favorites and contemporary innovations, all of which highlight the cuisine of locally-owned restaurants. Insight into Lowcountry cuisine accompanies the broad range of samples on your food tour. This is our original tour around the French Quarter and City Market and focuses on the traditional flavors of the region.

After meeting your foodie guide at the provided meeting location in downtown Charleston, you will begin your walking tour. Sample dishes at 4 restaurants, finishing with dessert. Each stop lasts ~30 minutes, and you'll be seated to rest your legs. For most people, the amount of food served overal is enough for a meal. As you enjoy walking through this historical section of the city, listen to stories about Charleston's culture and cuisine from your guide, who points out landmarks along your route. This wonderful experience will end within walking distance of your starting point. *Food restrictions must be separately communicated to Charleston Culinary Tours at least 24 hours in advance to be accommodated. *We cannot accommodate Vegan, Dairy/Lactose-Free, or Soy-Free diets.

5.00We loved our tour with Dana! A perfect tour for food lovers and history buffs! She did an amazing job weaving the history of Charleston into the food tour itself so we truly got an understanding of what Charleston was known for and why. Would 10/10 recommend again!!

5.00My girlfriends and I had a marvelous time on our Charleston food tour! Our guide, Amelia , was absolutely wonderful. She was so kind, patient, and attentive to our group of ladies in our 70s. She made the experience smooth, fun, and full of interesting stories about Charleston’s food and history. We truly enjoyed all of the stops and the variety of flavors we got to experience. The only part that fell a little flat for us was the dessert. It was a cannoli served in a small jar. It was a bit bland and not as exciting as the rest of the tastings. That being said, the overall tour was fantastic, and we loved every moment of it. Thanks to Amelia, we left with full stomachs, happy hearts, and wonderful memories of Charleston.

5.00Easy to find start of tour. Great guide with a lot of interesting historical tidbits not just about food. Some architecture and cultural/economic history too. If you eat pork and seafood I would recommend so you get to experience everything. Left very full.

5.00Excellent food tour with lots of historical information given as we visited the four food lobations. Dana was an exceptional host. The food was great I would say much more than a single meal. If your in Charleston and wanting a food tour you cannot go wrong
