Our first stop kicks things off in classic Denver style at Marco’s Coal Fired Pizzeria Ballpark, just steps from Coors Field. Marco’s is more than a local favorite—it’s Denver’s only AVPN-certified Neapolitan pizzeria, meaning its dough, sauce, and toppings meet the same exacting standards you’d find in Naples, Italy. The coal-fired ovens burn at over 1,000 degrees, giving every pie a blistered crust, smoky aroma, and perfectly chewy bite. This spot has earned national recognition, but the vibe stays warm and welcoming, with a menu that celebrates both Italian tradition and Colorado flair. 5.00Our Downtown Denver Food Tour with Michael was absolutely fantastic and easily one of the best parts of our trip. Michael’s knowledge of Denver, its history, neighborhoods, and food culture, added so much depth to every stop. It wasn’t just a food tour; it felt like being shown around the city by a local who truly loves it. The food was outstanding. We had some of the best empanadas we’ve ever tasted, amazing pizza at Marco’s, an unforgettable fry bread taco in the Dairy Block, and finished strong with Blue Moon beer and green chili at the Cherry Cricket, a perfect Colorado combo. Every stop felt thoughtfully chosen, and Michael made the whole experience fun, relaxed, and informative. It was a wonderful way to experience downtown Denver, and it left us already planning our next trip back, hopefully to catch a Dodgers vs. Rockies game this summer. Highly recommend this tour and especially Michael as your guide.

5.00Great time. Our guide Austin was great. Very knowledgeable and interesting and friendly. Learned lots about the area and saw great places we wouldn’t have seen if not with him! Food spots were great!! Especially liked the Marco coal fired pizza spot!! Would highly recommend. Especially with Austin
The extra day with Michael DeGano was worth it.

5.00This tour is guided by the best tour guide named Dan! He explained the history of the restaurants along with the buildings they’re in or areas they’re in. It’s a very accessible tour as everyone is walking, very convenient since Coors field is nearby along with Union station.
