Downtown Sacramento is experiencing a 21st century renaissance! Tour guests will be guided down Sacramento’s original main street while learning about the area’s rich history and architecture, from the mid-1800s through today.

Discover first-hand why Sacramento is called the America’s Farm-to-Fork Capital, as you taste renowned cuisine from eclectic menus boasting locally sourced ingredients.

Local Roots Food Tours limits the group size of each tour to no more than 14 individuals. Special dietary needs can be met with prior notice.

Dawnie was an amazing tour guide! Incredibly knowledgeable and made the experience so memorable! Additionally the food choices were OUTSTANDING! We are still talking about the tour and how much fun we had! If you’re looking for a great tour this is a MUST DO!

It was cancelled. This was a birthday present and we were looking forward to it but it was cancelled the night before. We will not be able to reschedule. Hopefully we can get our money back

We had a wonderful time enjoying and learning about the history and tasting the flavors of Santa Fe. The tour guide and food were excellent. A must for anyone to experience.

Great summary of the history art, architecture and people who shaped Sacramento with stops at quite a few wonderful restaurants. The food was excellent and plentiful and Dawni our guide was a true fount of information. We all thoroughly enjoyed it!!

Weather. It was a perfect day for this tour yesterday. The weather was perfect. Our tour guide was great. Very knowledgeable. I live 45 min from sac but Im glad I booked because I learned a lot about the city and found a few restaurants that I would have never known were there..

We had an Amazing time, learning about the history of Sacramento and tasting local food!! Learned a lot about Sacramento, even though I am a local! Restaurants I have never been to but plan on going back.
Definitely a must do for locals as well as visitors!!

This was my fourth Local Roots food tour, each of them has been wonderful. Dawnie is an excellent guide, skillfully sprinkling lots of history in between a deep knowledge of the food scene in Sacramento. Great for locals as well as visitors.
