  We were first time visitors to Korea. Our guide shared the history and information about all of the traditional food we tried. It was fun and informative. It was quite an experience to walk through the market. There is a lot of food so don’t fill up at the first stop.

  5 stars! A good mix of traditional and "modern" Korean food. From market food to trendy cafe food, this tour has it all. Our guide Alex, not only discussed and explained the food, but he also gave us insights into Korean history and culture.

  We really enjoyed our tour with Taeseong. He was super knowledgeable and quite funny. He really taught us about all the food, customs, and history of South Korea. This was our favorite food tour we’ve ever been on!

  Generally food tours leave you hungry. This one was the opposite! Taeseong was knowledgeable, relaxed and great fun and the variety of food was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour, thanks!

  If you like Korean food, you should not miss this tour. Even if you think you know about Korean cooking, you'll learn about new dishes and find new tastes. I guarantee that you will return to the market later - probably every night that you are in Seoul - to eat even more.

  We did this tour with Ji Yoon and really enjoyed trying a wide range of foods in various locations. Ji Yoon is a local and knew all the best spots, so we came back to the same places several times to eat.

  We really enjoyed our Seoul guided food and market tour with Taeseong. He took us to multiple locations, where tables had been reserved and hot food was prepared for us. He explained the appropriate way to eat the foods we were sampling (with which sauces, cut by a scissor, etc.) He also explained the history of certain foods in Seoul --like Spam. Taeseong showed us around a portion of the market and took us to a second location for tea. In addition, he discussed cultural topics with us -- why young Koreans eat fast, his experience in the army and more. I highly recommend this tour.

  I absolutely loved this food tour. Alex was a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide, even patiently answering my (probably very annoying) questions about the Korean language. Thank you Alex for the exceptional experience!

  We did this tour with Alex. He was great we explained we werent used to spicy foods and he made sure we had foods that suited us. The tour was really great value and we got loads to eat so dont eat before you go. We went to the market and had lots of street food including gimbap dumplings and pancakes. Some of the stall holders are on the netflix show asian street food. Close by this market is a beautiful walkway by a stream. It used to be a motorway which was redeveloped into a 8km walk which is calm and peaceful loved by locals and tourists. Top tip from Alex we went back here and walked most of it. We then went to the a coffee shop where i got the most glorious fig croissant it was called the Salt Pond in the Isadong area. This area is lovely exactly the kind of area that i like full of little cafes and shops. Alex navigated us around this area which was great as it was our first day in Seoul. It was really the perfect introduction to the city and its food. We finished the tour in a tea house with a berry tea. Alex then graciouly made sure we got to a metro station. As an english speaking Korean who lived in America Alex was the perfect guide and we really recommend him. We got a great insight into Korean life and culture. As well as that he was also smart and good fun. Hope you get Alex for your tour.
