Paro Taktsang
Today you have the hike of taking a steep, 1½-hour hike to a teahouse, where you can enjoy a great view of Taktsang Monastery (its name means "tiger's nest"), perched on a cliff 2,700 feet above the floor of the Paro Valley. The hike follows a steep switchback trail through the forest, and after a break with tea and cookies, you have the option to sit outside the cafe and admire the monastery and its beautiful surroundings or, if you feel energetic, to continue another thirty minutes to a closer viewpoint. Much of Taktsang was destroyed by a fire in April 1998, but it is now completely rebuilt. The sight never ceases to amaze the visitors as we get closer. Have lunch on your way back at the Cafeteria. Descend down towards the parking lot where your driver will be waiting for you.

I was a teacher in Singapore and have traveled extensively in Asia and around the world. Bhutan is an incredibly special place. The trip was absolutely fantastic. The cultural experience, the natural landscape, the people, and the food - all of it was wonderful. The owner was super responsive during the planning phase. He made everything really easy. He went above and beyond to get a suitcase back to us that had been left behind in Bangkok. Our guide and driver made everything run smoothly and safely. I would go back to Bhutan in a heartbeat, and I would definitely use this company again!
