Tala, a privately owned wildlife conservancy, has a charm all its own – teaming with birdlife, magnificent “plains game”, such as eland, giraffe, kudu and zebra, and a family of hippos, which are extremely rare in this area! Enjoy the spectacular scenery and closed vehicle game viewing, returning to the port in time for the ship’s departure.

A minimum of 2 people per booking is required. Maximum 8 guests
At time of booking, cruise ship passengers must provide the following information: ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time

Morning tour - ship should arrive early morning and guests need to be disembarked by 08h00 for departure at 08H30AM
Morning tour - ship departure time should not be before 15H00.
Afternoon tour - Ship should arrive late morning and guests need to be disembarked by 12h00 for 12H30 departure.
Afternoon tour - Ship departure time should not be before 19h00.
game drives are done in closed vehicles.
Small Group Tour, guests may be joined by other guests who are on the same Cruise ship.

5.00our guide was completely professional and supply bottle water two both myself. He was 15 minutes early, so we were able to leave right away. the car was clean and appeared new. The guide was knowledgeable and well informed. He drove safely and obeyed all traffic laws. the safari was enjoyable and we saw all the animals as advertised. I would recommend this for everyone.

3.00Your was booked for 6 hours we only went for 4.5hrs Only the front seat can hear the driver. Would have been nice to get a little more local culture experience

5.00It was a great experience to see these beautiful animals in there own environment in the wild. To see them strolling around with not a care in the world and no predators. I would also like to add a comment about our driver and guide who's name was Tommy .what a wonderful man,went out of his way to show us around that wonderful Tala game reserve.

5.00We had a wonderful time at Tala Game Reserve. Our guide, Tammy, waited for us due to our late arrival into Durban cruise port and he was very knowledgeable, funny and helpful during the tour of the reserve. Would highly recommend this tour, particularly with Tammy.

5.00Great half day adventure. Saw giraffes, ostriches, zebras, rhinos, gnus and more. Very nice scenery as well. Lots to see on the one hour or so drive from Durban.

5.00Driver spoke excellent English. He was very knowledgeable about his country and the game preserve. he was patient in trying to locate animals in the game preserve. When we wanted to expand his time in the city, he made contact with his manager, had it approved. Wonderful driver--very safe..

5.00Rennie was our guide for a fun filled day! We were late getting off the cruise ship but he was right there when we got off, got us loaded up and headed to Tala. Along the way he showed us various aspects of the city of Durban and some historical highlights. Once at Tala, he lead us through the reserve with tons of info about the different animals. He even took us on a side trip to see even more things. We really got a sense of his love for the city of Durban and greatly appreciated his sincerity.
