Durmitor National park is the most famous protected natural area in Montenegro and together with Tara canyon part of the UNESCO natural heritage. On our way across the mountain massif we will enjoy spectacular views, explore geological miracles of Durmitor mountain, taste local food, visit katuns ,summer cattlemen villages,and meet sheperds way of life, and in the end we will visit the pearl of the national park- famous Black lake.
During the whole tour we will be far away from the crowd, surrounded with mountains, rivers and canyons, with local people honored to welcome us in traditional way.

Durmitor National Park
This tour takes us from 50 to 1.900 meters above sea level in only a few hours. It begins from the largest urban center and ends up in a remote, high and magnificent Durmitor massif. Durmitor is known for its geological peculiarities and natural beauty owing to which it is proclaimed national park and along with Tara canyon listed as UNESCO world heritage site. The mountain is well-known for periodical shepherds’ settlements called katuns where in the summer cattle breeders come with cows and sheep and stay until first cold days and snow. Mysterious medieval tombstones – stećci, jointly nominated by Montenegro,Bosnia, Serbia and Croatia and recently listed as UNESCO world heritage site, are situated in the mountain too. On our way to Durmitor we won’t miss the opportunity to visit the lookouts offering stunning views on Piva River canyon and Piva Lake, the largest reservoir of drinking water in the Balkans as well as the most famous of 18 glacial lakes in Durmitor – Black Lake.

5.00Our visit to Durmitor National Park and the surrounding region with Mr. Nino was truly an extraordinary experience. The natural beauty of the destinations was only enhanced by the scenic journey, which was made even more delightful by Mr. Nino's guidance. Mr. Nino is exceptionally knowledgeable, sharing captivating insights into the geography, history, science, and culture of the area. His informative and engaging commentary enriched our understanding and enjoyment of the trip. Traveling in his comfortable car, with his patient and careful driving, made the journey smooth and enjoyable. A particularly heartwarming moment was when he rescued a stray dog along the way. Mr. Nino’s thoughtful gestures, such as providing water bottles and taking photos with his camera, added a personal and memorable touch to our adventure. His encouragement to participate in various activities further enhanced our experience. His attentiveness and reliability were evident through his prompt responses on WhatsApp and his punctuality in picking us up and dropping us off at our requested locations. Having experienced multiple day trips, we can confidently say we have never encountered a guide like Mr. Nino. We wholeheartedly recommend his tours; he truly ensures his guests have an unforgettable and enjoyable time.

5.00Nino is a very professional guide and knows a great deal of things about Montenegro, geography, culture, history and other things. He is also enthusiastic about telling you what he knows in the tour. You can expect to learn a lot in his tour. We really enjoyed our trip with him and highly recommend his tour for other people considering travelling to Montenegro.

5.00Nino is a so good guide and an remarkable polite person. He has offered us a lot of interesting stories and so many places with terrible panoramas in this private day tour in Durmitor National Park and Tara Canyon. We have appreciated his high level of education and kindness. We had also a private half day tour of Skadar Lake, with a very fine wine tasting in a wonderful old village. Our hosts were very nice family and we liked very much their excellent wine. Made with soul! We highly recommend Natour Montenegro travel agency andhis great owner. Thank you, Nino!
