The big numbers of elephants, wildlife migration, baobab trees (these grow in the open acacia) in addition to the tree climbing African pythons give wonderful sightings to see which make Tarangire a popular destination on a Tanzania Safari Tarangire National park takes on the sixth largest position among Tanzania’s National parks , after Ruaha, Serengeti Mikumi, Katavi and Mkomazi. The park derived its name from the mighty Tarangire River that crosses through its beautiful landscape.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area
The Ngorongoro Crater and Conservation Area attracts thousands of tourists to Tanzania each year. It is one of the best places to spot all 5 of Africa’s famous mammals – lions, rhinos, leopards, elephants and What to see in Ngorongoro Craterbuffaloes. Other animals found within the crater include hippos, jackals, reedbuck, waterbuck, wildebeest, warthogs, hartebeests, servals, zebras, cheetahs and crocodiles. In total, over 26,000 big mammals and 500 species of birds call the crater home. The main activities within/around the Ngorongoro crater are game drives, photographic Safaris, picnics, nature walks, birding, visiting the Maasai villages, hot air ballooning, a tour of Olduvai Gorge, visiting the Empakaai Crater, hiking to the summit of the Gol Mountains and Oldoinyo Lengai. There is also visiting the Olmoti Crater, the Lerai Fever Tree Forest and Lake Magadi

Even as one of the smaller wildlife reserves in Tanzania, Lake Manyara National Park boasts a diverse array of ecosystems making for breathtaking landscapes to explore and observe. From the dense forests which are home to vervet and blue monkey, to the marshes which invite wallowing hippos. Moreover, anticipate woodlands rich with acacia trees and open savannahs littered with grazing zebra. The national park lies between Tarangire and The Great Rift Valley, with the East African Rift forming a picturesque backdrop to the magnificent lake. Staying within the park is the perfect way to experience these panoramic views. There are some lodges, that are conveniently located on the southwestern edge of Lake Manyara, providing you with breathtaking vistas for the duration of your stay. Don't forget to see the tree climbing lions

5.00I cannot write enough praise for Brown Parrot Safaris. Family-run business by Amani and Doris provide a bespoke, professional, highly personable and competent service for your trip in Tanzania. We were a small NGO needing special transport needs and Amani was our tour organiser, guide and drive around Arusha, the Maasai districts and then for a week's safari in Taranguire, Ngorongoro and the Seregeti. His knowledge of birds, animals and flora is excellent, being Maasai himself he provided great insights into this fascinating tribe, he is a charming group member and got us from place to place safely and seamlessly. Please do not hesitate in reaching out to plan your individual travel desires! We will come back again soon!

5.00Amani, the owner of Brown Parrot, is a fantastic guide. He has a charming personality, super broad knowledge about nature and culture (having Masai background himself) and is a very experienced and careful driver. He was able to show us an abundance of animals including the big 5 and could direct us almost any animal we desired to see, including cheetas and the brown parrot.

5.00We went on a safari for 5 days with our guide Amani and this trip went above and beyond our expectations!! If you are considering going on a safari you must book with Brown Parrot Safaris. We appreciated that they were a smaller company with local knowledge. Everything went very smooth from the beginning to the end. Doris really helped us out with all the planning and answered all our questions before coming. Then Amani took really good care of us during the safari. Amani was very kind and taught us everything about the animals, the national parks and the culture. We were amazed by his knowledge! And he made us feel very safe during the whole trip. It was very nice to have Amani and the jeep for ourselves. We choose to visit Tarangire National Park, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. We were amazed by all the animals we got to see! We saw all of the big five! We really enjoyed all our lodges that we stayed in as well, especially the accommodation that was in the middle of Serengeti where you could hear the animals during the night! An extraordinary experience! We can’t recommend them enough! We even have friends that have gone with them after our recommendations. Love /Monika & Albin
