What sets my tour apart from the others is that I create my itineraries based on my clients interests and desires of what they would like to see and do. That is done with them communicating with me well in advance of their arrival in Grand Bahama.
I do my best to include as many stops as I can during the day trip giving them the most memorable time of their day.
I start off with the options of visiting both the Bahamian Brewery and the Bahamas Distilling Co. Then we continue to the Open Air Farmers Market where they try the best conch fritters on the island and do their souvenir shopping.
After that we tour the Port Lucaya Marketplace, Taino Beach, Smith's Point, Sanctuary Bay and Millionaire's Row. Then , Garden of the Groves (optional) before continuing to Lucayan National Park. I bake home made bread rolls, bake a dessert and make Bahama Mamas all included in their picnic lunch on Gold Rock Beach. We continue to tour High Rock, time permitting, after Lucayan National Park.

After I pick you up at the Freeport harbour, we have two optional stops The Bahamian Brewery where we make seven different types of beer and the Bahamas Distilling Co, where we make five types of rum and a gin. After that we then visit The Open Air Farmer's Market where you get to try the best conch fritters on the island and shop for those unique souvenir items. The local vendors are small mom and pop type operations and they mostly only take cash so please be sure to bring extra cash for your shopping and other incidentals. For any of you Art Lovers, we do have Mosaic where many of our local resident artists are exhibiting. Please let me know if you would like to stop at Mosaic before we head into Lucaya to our next stop which will be the Port Lucaya Marketplace for more shopping. This is your private exclusive daytrip and I do ask that you communicate with me before you arrive about your interests and what you would like to see and do. Port Lucaya Marketplace
Our next stop is Port Lucaya Marketplace where you have lots more local vendors with bigger stalls. There is the Bahamas Maritime Museum which tells you all about our history and culture with an amazing collection of artifacts and sunken treasure from a shipwreck in our waters. There is also Bootleg Chocolates, where we make chocolates with local fruit flavors. There are large jewelry stores such as Pandora, Colombian Emeralds Intl. and Freeport Jewellers for you to add a special trinket to your jewelry box. We tour as long as you need to make sure you get all of your souvenir shopping done. For you Art Afficionados, there is also a local Bahamian artist in his studio so we definitely will make a stop there for you to find that special work of art to take home with you. He accepts credit cards as well as the larger jewelry stores, the Bahamas Maritime Museum and Bootleg Chocolates. We will need at least 30 to 45mins here to tour and for you to do your shopping.

1.00We booked this experience expecting to spend time a good amount at the caves and beach but in actuality we spent 10 mins at the caves and less than 10 at the beach. Viator emailed me before the tour and I responded saying we were not too interested in shopping. First stop beer store, we didn’t get out. Second stop rum distillery which was cool. Third stop straw market where we felt strong armed into buying crap and food, we had just eaten before we got off the boat. Fourth stop another market full of the same crap. We did go in and see an art gallery that was good. The entire time the guide is saying how the island never recovered from hurricane Dorian, it felt like she was doing what she could to get us to spend more and more money at her friends or acquaintances vendor stalls. We spend over $800 for the tour and another $450 on junk. It was definitely high pressure sales stuff that you either have to be a complete jerk and ignore everybody or buy something small from everyone. We finally told the lady we were done shopping and wanted to see the caves and beach, this obviously made her upset because she started driving pretty erratic. It was drizzling off and on all day but nothing that should have dampened our experience. We finally got to the caves and beaches at 2:15pm, 35 minutes away from the ships harbor and all aboard time was 3pm. I told her I don’t think we have time she kept insisting we did. After walking really slowly to the caves and then speed walking to the beach we rushed back to the car to speed away. This is 3:10 when we leave the caves/beach, only then did she realize she messed up and needed to hurry. Her driving got even more crazy speeding past people she even once passed somebody on the left in someone’s front yard. I phoned a buddy on the cruise ship to let them know we were late by quite a bit, luckily he was able to talk to guest relations and phoned down to the gangway to hold it for us. Just for an idea how fast she was going, we left at 3:10pm, we were 35 minutes away from the ships harbor according to my gps and we pulled in at 3:35pm. If you want to go on a tour where you don’t get to do what you want this is the one for you. Oh and she was 10 mins late for the pickup at the beginning. Just an overall mess of a tour.

5.00My family had a wonderful New Year's Day on the Island with Hida. We toured the East End with her. She told us a lot about the history, culture and the great places to visit. At our last stop, Gold Rock Beach (which is so stunning), we had a delightful picnic lunch that Hida brought for us. She self baked the Bahamian bread that we made sandwiches with. She also surprised my oldest son with a birthday cake so that we could sing HBD to him. Hida added these thoughtful touches which made it extra special for us. My son had a lovely birthday! Hida, thank you so much for making our day so special and memorable!

4.00Did a lot of research and found Hida. We wanted something custom and private. We wanted to see as much of the island in a limited amount of time. Hida didn’t disappoint. We told her some of our must do’s, and asked her for some of hers. This tour is a little pricey, but all of the Bahamas excursions are. Plus this is private.

5.00In February 2024, our family of 5 (4 adults and a toddler) spent our cruise day at Grand Bahama with Hida. We booked a tour with her in advance because we wanted a private experience that was personalized to our interest. Hida was wonderful from beginning to end. She communicated well, provided great information about the island, her transportation was clean and comfortable, and our activities for the day were exactly what we were looking for. After picking us up from the port, she gave us a tour of the island, we did some shopping at the Port Lucaya Marketplace, and then spent the rest of the afternoon at Banana Bay Restaurant and Lucaya Beach. On the way back to the port she took us to the Bahamian Brewery so that we could bring some local Sands back home with us. Thank you Hida for a wonderful experience!

1.00I wanted to book a stay over air onb at hidas place - she told me she is a tour guide and helps me to do the things I want, after weeks she called me to tell me that she will charge extra money for the stay because of the air conditioning (before was 300 then 430). Im from Europe so I believed her that maybe it's extra hot at the moment but this was the first trick - when she picked me up from the airport she brought me to friends so l can buy stuff from them but I never asked for that she also stopped at many other places to do her stuff...I wanted to make vacation not help her with her life. The next day she gave me breakfast what was included in my price but this was old and not fresh: the eggs were green and blue and stinky like the cheese or anything else what she wanted to give me. After this she brang me to „swimming with the pigs" and wanted 150$ from me - the price there is 70$ - and she told me I already have a discount ... so l told her want rent a car and do my things on my own because I understood what she was doing On the last night she told me she has to extra charge the transport to the airport because I didn't invited her to a drink on the last night to say thank you...I was shocked and told her that I will not pay this because it was included in the price and I don't have to invite her and pay her drinks I payed enough (a normal hotel was cheaper after her extra charging for air conditioning). So she only wants your money and always try to extra charge everything, she don't ask you to help her she expect it from you like install new curtains in her house or carry her bags, she puts you in groups with her tour even if you didn't ask and wants 200$ per day - SO BE CAREFUL AND DONT BOOK THIS TOURS AND NEVER SLEEP IN HER MESSY HOUSE!

5.00This is our second adventure with Hida and it won’t be our last! This experience was absolutely amazing. We learned so much about the history of the island. Hida is such a wealth of information. It was such a relaxing and beautiful day that we will never forget. You can’t go wrong with one of her adventures as she makes them all amazing. We truly can’t wait to be back and on another adventure with her.

3.00Tour was a disappointment as it did not include promised destinations which were verified beforehand both verbally and in writing. When tourists hire a tour guide, they are expecting someone to “guide” them as they don’t know the area, what is the finest to see and do, what is most popular, and where they shouldn’t go and what they shouldn’t do. Tourists expect the tour guide to direct them and make suggestions, not just ask them where they want to go. We missed the two most popular local attractions because we weren’t properly “guided” and instead we spent too much time at the local market being coerced, strong armed and pressured into purchasing items from the tour guide’s preferred vendors.

5.00I highly recommend this tour because Hida, as a Bahamian resident, really knows the island well and can customize the tour for those who attend. There is a maximum of only 4 people so you will get a very personal experience! This tour lasts most of the day and you will see so much more than you would from a cruise shore excursion (for those arriving by cruise ship like myself). I plan to come back and do a boat tour with her next time!
