This tour package offers an affordable sight-seeing journey to most of the WWII historical sites on Guadalcanal. We are flexible on timing and visitors can request bathroom break stops, or shop stop overs.
We provide pick up and drop off from hotels or at a meeting point in Honiara City as per visitor's request. Our tour guides are friendly and very knowledgeable about the sites, and our culture and norms.
Security is our main priority; our tour guides ensure that our visitors are safe and enjoy the tour.

Guadalcanal American Memorial
The Guadalcanal American Memorial is a World War II monument established as a tribute to Americans and their allies who lost their lives during the Guadalcanal Campaign. During this stop, visitors can take their time to read the tributes and listen to the tour guide tales about the events that took place on the site.
Japanese War Memorial
The Japanese War Memorial also known as the Japan Peace Memorial Park is located on Mt. Austin. It was built to remember the land and naval forces killed during the Guadalcanal campaign. For this stop, visitors can walk around and enjoy the view and take pictures.

5.00I did 2 tours with Hapi Isles, and they were both great. The first day I did the WW2 tour. I had Ricky as a guide and Mo as a driver. They took me to a bunch of sites. The highlights were a Japanese tunnel and a beach that has a bunch of rusted out American tanks! They also gave a lot of good information, way more than I would have gotten just going on my own. The second day I did a city tour. They took me around Honiara. Unfortunately some things were closed as it was Sunday, but they took me to some other places instead to make up for it. Another good day. They know so much about the area. Book them, you won’t be disappointed.

5.00Very friendly guides who were eager for me to enjoy the trip. The sites are well worth visiting but I’d recommend doing some reading beforehand as there is little information at the places you visit. I’d recommend this tour to anyone with an interest in Military History. Thanks to Samson for taking great care of me.

5.00Our guide was on time and we started our tour at unity square. We went to the USA memorial, Japanese memorial and Mt. Austen WW2 Museum and met Charlie who has taken over the Museum from his dad. Went to the Memorial Garden and went to the Memorial Tower lookout. Our guide was very informative and made sure we saw everything e wanted to see and more. We were very pleased with his service and everything we saw during the tour.

4.00A great tour with friendly and cheerful guide and driver. Highlight was the private museum/collection of Willie Besi. Would have been even better if some artefacts like a tank or shipwreck had been included. The Tetere Beach WWII Museum was unfortunately skipped, possibly because we had some car problems.

5.00This was a wonderful tour of WWII history. Seeing the sites and landscape gave a real appreciation of the challenges faced by the allies during the battle. Our guide and driver were very knowledgeable and flexible with our schedule. One caution, once you get off the main road the roads are not very good. We felt safe with our driver who navigated the roads expertly.

4.00The tour is imaginative, taking the tourists mostly to the East side of the island, including the Red Beach, a bit far away from the town and thus hard to access. The guide and driver are acknowledgeable. However, the tour does not offer lunch for small parties (less than 3 pax) even though it is clearly stated on the website and the ticket.
