Nice night visiting 4 different restaurants. The guide Kate, British, gave insights into the different dishes and let us all taste rabbit head as well as Jelly fish to mention a few. Both educational and entertaining and definitely worth the price - value for money.

We had an amazing time with Paul! One thing that made this food tour unique was that we had multiple sit down venues. We've done countless food tours all over the world where you stand the entire time and get small tastings from a plate passed around. Not here! Come hungry and thirsty because the serving sizes are generous! Paul was very entertaining and it felt more like a party with friends than a food tour with strangers. Thank you for a wonderful and delicious time!

This tour was incredible - My only regret is that we attended on our last night in Shanghai. Had we gone on our first night, we would have known some of the best restaurants and food varieties! Our guide Ashley was wonderful, very friendly, funny, and energetic. She was extremely knowledgable about the different regions in China, their histories, and foods. She was also very accommodating for members of the group with dietary restrictions and went out of her way to help provide alternatives (e.g. vegetarian meals, low-spice meals, etc.). Absolutely make sure to bring an appetite and an adventurous spirit - The food is varied, and there's LOTS of it (and drinks to go with it, as well). The stand-out stop for me was the Schezuan restaurant that had plenty of delicious, spicy food, but all of the food was equally excellent.

I cannot think of a better experience then going on a country wide tour of Chinese delicacies all while walking within 5 city blocks. I am a foodie and this was the best way to combine that, culture and friendship. Doing it again at our next stop!!! —>Bangkok

This was a fun night with about a dozen people led by an American studying in Shanghai. We got to try many different dishes. At the end our guide stayed with us to help us get a taxi. We had no luck so he called the Chinese equivalent of Uber for us which meant that he paid! He wouldn’t let us give him any money to cover it cos he said we’d already tipped him! Above and beyond!! Sorry I can’t remember his name - I couldn’t review at the time of the tour as Viator we’re doing site maintenance....
