  Excellent. It is worth it. I saw all the animals that I wanted to see except the rhinos. The environment is as we see it in documenteries and the guide was friendly. .

  This has been the best day of my Mozambique trip. I stayed in Maputo and got picked up from my accomodation. Don't be afraid of an early pick-up (5 AM). It will all be worth it! Border cross was smoth as. No worries for a EU-citizen. Kruger is amazing, don't let other people tell you otherwise. There might be a high amount of 'common' animals, but still, it is an amazing site for my first real safari. We saw: heaps of: elephans/giraffes/wildebeest/zebras/impalas/monkeys/hippo's. We were lucky to catch a lion with 3 chubs, which is not a common thing. Service fom Maputo tours was good, I had a very experienced ranger who took its responsibility to spot as much animals as possible in one day. Even after 5 hours of driving around (in 38 degrees). I would recommend this again to everyone!

  I had a great tour guide who helped me understand both the culture of Mozambique and Kruger park animal behavior. We had a great time and good memories. Seeing lions, giraffes, hippopotamus, baboons, elephants and various other animals. He is great with people and expertly navigated a busy border crossing minimizing wait times.

  Fantastic guides! It was a great day; I saw loads of beautiful animals and learned a lot from Alfainho and Mr. G. It was definitely worth it!

• Easy Way to See Beautiful Kruger from Maputo

  I spent a lovely day in Kruger with a very dedicated and easy going guide Alfainho. He was very professional and we found a lot of great animals - the cats were eluding us but he made an incredible effort to find them. Kruger is beautiful and the lunch spot was tasty with excellent service. Depending on the day you go the border could take a bunch of time. In the morning it was speedy but on our return we spent a long time in line. It was a fantastic day trip from Maputo.

  Alphaino was amazing he was prompt to timings and very knowledgeable and friendly. He made the border crossing stress free and easy. On the safari we were lucky to have a guide who was originally a travkwr and he was incredible at finding animals. We managed 4/5 of the big 5 and had one of the best lion sightings we’ve seen. Thank you for a great day!

  Perfect day ! The kruger park is full of wild animals and amazing nature and landscapes. The day has been made perfect mainly because of the driver and guide we had. Alfaindo was helpful, super kind/nice and dedicated to reaching places / wild animals and we've seen 15 different species from buffalos, to impalas, girafes, elans, kudus, elephants, etc etc! Also ! The food stop was nice and with beautiful landscape ! The pick up was on time and we spend a bit more time than expected in the park. So long story short ! I can only recommend that day trip !

  Although I've done safaris in Africa before and have been to SA multiple times, it was my first time in Kruger Park and it was definitely a super experience even for an "explorer" who are used to safaris! I was particularly lucky to spot 4 out of the Big Five in just one day: one lion and two lionesses very very up close, many elephants, a leopard, and African buffalos. We also saw many more animals and very colourful birds: giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, kudus, many impalas, many zebras, as well as all of the "Ugly" Five: hyenas, wildebeests, warthogs, vultures and marabou storks. I booked this 1-day trip as a solo traveler, but I definitely recommend to do the 2-day tour and stay overnight if you have the time, especially if you want to see the rhinos (they are in a further part of the park) and to maximise your chances of seeing the big cats in the very early morning. The communication with Tours Maputo was smooth and the organisation was spot on, including a comfortable car, punctual driver, and smooth border crossings (check your visa requirements for SA beforehand!). Our safari guide Winston is from the region, he's very knowledgeable, friendly, and really made all that he can to make us see everything in one day. We had a light lunch break at Mugg & Bean inside the park (welcome to South Africa), overseeing a lake with very nice views of elephants and landscapes. As I was solo, I would like to highlight that the tour operator added me to a group of tourists and offered me a free upgrade to a game drive in an open backed safari car, as well as a free light lunch.
