Discover the natural and cultural richness of Cartagena’s mangroves on a guided tour of locals in a community full of joy and culture. You’ll be greeted with a typical natural drink before browsing canals surrounded by biodiversity, learning about their ecological importance and the role they play in coastal protection.

We will stop at a natural island to learn about community traditions and observe unique fauna and flora. Then, you will live an authentic experience learning sustainable artisanal fishing techniques with local fishermen.

At the end, a comfortable transport will take you back to your hotel. An experience that combines nature, culture and sustainability in one day.

Amazing way to start the day floating gently through the mangroves and learning about the wildlife and plants. We also had the chance to learn and practise traditional fishing techniques, including wading in the shallow water to look for snails. Jamie our guide and Daniel our canoeist were excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity to experience this wonderful ecosystem. It is worthwhile and I highly recommend this personalised trip through the mangroves.

tour was something else, in a crazy positive way. To begin with, our guide Shay was absolutely authentic in so many ways. Her professional english, kindness, knowledge about the tour (since she’s a local from the same area), her way of making this tour intimate and memorable was spot on. Shay guided us through the whole tour, it started from when we were picked up explaining the background story, the canoe ride through the jungle, fishing with a local and visiting a local island for some latino and Colombian music. Shay made us connect with nature and elevated the whole experience to an unforgettable one. Thank you again and keep up the amazing work!

Excellent visit to the mangroves with Yeimy and Daniel. Yeimy's explanations in English were very clear and interesting. We even managed to catch a blue crab 🤩 Thank you for this beautiful and rewarding activity.

Very friendly, fun to do, hard to reach. Poor neighborhood and far away from the neighborhood. Music and dance was nice but not necessary

Wonderful experience. We enjoyed it between the mangroves, to see the different birds, how to fish crabs and fishes, generally gaining informations about the ecosystem. We saw different animals as racoon. We loved Jamie, she is very wonderful and fun. She gave us a lot of information. We had some dancing courses and played drums. After all we had a good Lunch with big fishes. Would recommend it to everybody.
