Almost half the route will be via properly paved roads and the other half will be off-road throughout the rough bumpy surreal desert with no network signal. The length of stay at the destination will be around an hour before our driver will happily drive you back to the original meeting point in Riyadh.

Booked two tours with Saudi Nomadic Tours — the Edge of the World and the red sand dunes — and both were brilliant. Mohammed was our guide for both and honestly made the whole thing. He knows the area inside out, keeps things running smoothly, and is just genuinely good company! The Edge of the World is as dramatic as it sounds, and the dunes are a completely different but equally worth-it experience. Do both if you can.

I experienced all the things that are expected to happen on an Edge of the World trip. Off road driving was a bit more adventurous. If you have small children and elderly people with you, I request you to drive the vehicle a little more carefully.
