Edinburgh has become one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.
We will know the history of this medieval city, with more than 3000 years, from the first tribes that populated it, the Picts, to the men in skirts. We will talk about its most important buildings, such as St. Giles Cathedral, or Edinburgh Castle. We will walk through its most emblematic streets, such as the Royal Mile, or Victoria Street .
We will visit the sculpture of the puppy Bobby, which is next to the Greyfriars cemetery, where many mysteries and legends are hidden, and some paranormal activity. Part of the Harry Potter book was written in Edinburgh and its writer, JK Rowling, used the inspiration graveyard . Join us to discover where she wrote and what she used as inspiration for her novels.
With so many centuries of history, the capital of Scotland is rich in history and legends. You cannot miss this incredible visit to Edinburgh.

5.00The tour with Nick was brilliant. The two hours just flew by. He told lots of fascinating stories and brought them to life with his natural, humorous manner, so it never got boring for a moment. Afterwards, Nick took the time to answer questions and give tips on the local area. Thanks, Nick – I really enjoyed the tour with you.

5.00Great introduction to Edinburgh! Easy to find our meeting place and get checked in, and then off to explore the history of Edinburgh. Our guide Graeme took us on a ramble through the Old City, up and down the tiny side streets, relating stories of the people, events, and places with delightful wit and a definite point of view. This was a ramble with a personable resident of the city, not some canned, scripted tour. Graeme had recommendations for places to eat and drink, museums to visit and even bookstores and bakeries. At the end, he even took some of us on a short extra walk through a graveyard that started out as an exploration of where J.K. Rowling got some of the names for the Harry Potter books and then spun off into other Edinburgh characters, bad poetry and more. Lots of fun.

5.00Ignas was a very good guide in full kilt which enhanced the experience. We covered many of the top locations in and around The Royal Mile finishing at Greyfriars Cemetery. Would recommend this to travelers who want a good overview of the history of Edinburgh and Scotland
