A gentle, easy level rainforest hike that leads to a crystal clear natural pool, perfect for families, seniors, and beginners. No special footwear is needed since the trail is smooth enough for sandals, yet immersive enough to feel the rainforest come alive around you. As you walk, you’ll hear the river guiding you, sometimes soft and sometimes louder depending on the mountain’s rainfall, creating a peaceful soundtrack that welcomes you into El Yunque’s heart.
When you reach the natural pool and take your first dip in its refreshing waters, you’ll feel why this place is one of the most magical ways to meet El Yunque for the very first time. It’s the kind of moment that stays with you long after you leave.
To complete the experience, we finish the day at the famous Luquillo Kiosks, where you can enjoy local cuisine right by the beach before heading back.

5.00Highly recommend this tour! We had such an amazing experience as a family. Our tour guide Yatzel was incredible. He is so knowledgeable and made the whole experience fun and interesting the entire time. You can tell he truly loves what he does and cares about making sure everyone has a great time. Our 10 year old daughter had an absolute blast and was engaged the whole time, which says a lot. Yatzel also gave us fantastic recommendations for places to eat while visiting Puerto Rico. Whether you eat everything or you are vegan or vegetarian, he has great suggestions. We are so happy we did this tour and feel lucky that Yatzel was our guide. Truly an unforgettable experience. I absolutely recommend it.

5.00I have had the opportunity to take many guided tours around the world. Yatzel Rivera is one of the most experienced. He has extensive knowledge of the island history as well as the rainforest. Yatzel was able to answer all questions regarding the rainforest, animals and vegetation. I would recommend a tour with Yatzel to everyone no matter the age. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

4.00The experience was unforgettable. A rare gem of the island. You dont need to be an experienced hiker. It was more of a walk than a hike. It would have been great to know what to bring a week before when one is packing for vacation instead of hours before forcing you to make due with what you have. Wear shoes that can get wet, clothing that is easily removable or can get wet. no bug spray needed. Plastic case to keep phone dry. Yatzel was a phenomenal guide making safety his #1 priority. He is very knowledgeable and experienced. I would have loved to walk through rainforest a bit more than we did. I was told to meet at public place but since we were the only two, I felt I should have been picked up at hotel which was so close anyway. He did return us directly to the hotel.

5.00We had a wonderful experience with Yatzel on our El Yunque tour. He was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and thoughtful throughout the entire day. We were traveling with our toddler, who wasn’t feeling well, and Yatzel was extremely patient and accommodating. The hike was manageable, the natural pool stop was beautiful, and he made sure everyone in the group felt safe and comfortable. He clearly knows the rainforest very well and shared great insights along the way. The pace was perfect, transportation was smooth, and the overall experience felt very well organized. Highly recommend booking with him if you’re visiting El Yunque, especially if you’re traveling as a family.

5.00We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Yatzel from Hiking Hangeo Tours. Originally, our tour was scheduled for Monday, but our toddler wasn’t feeling well. Yatzel was incredibly understanding and graciously rescheduled us to Wednesday without any hassle. That level of flexibility already set the tone. To make things even more special, he personally came to lead our tour and essentially gave us a private experience. His knowledge of El Yunque was impressive, from the ecosystem and local history to hidden spots in the rainforest that we would have never discovered on our own. The pace was perfect for a family with a young child. He made sure we felt safe, comfortable, and never rushed. The natural pool stop was beautiful, and he shared so many interesting insights along the way. Communication before and during the tour was excellent: clear, responsive, and professional. If you’re looking for a personalized, thoughtful, and genuinely memorable rainforest experience, this is it. We truly had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Yatzel and Hiking Hangeo Tours to anyone visiting Puerto Rico. Thank you again for making it such a special day for our family!

5.00Yatzel is very knowledgeable about and round Puerto Rico tourist attractions. He's very thorough with the main points to visit. He can answer any questions or concerns you may have about any tour. We visited the Yunque in one of his tour and had a wonderful time and experienced. After the tour we stopped at the Luquillo restaurants (kios) and had a very tasty meal. The food varieties are many, consisting from steaks, seafood, arcapuria, bacalaitos and many more. The drinks are also excellent with the famous puertorican Piña🍍Colada. I recommend him 100% you won't be disappointed.
