A gentle, easy level rainforest hike that leads to a crystal clear natural pool, perfect for families, seniors, and beginners. No special footwear is needed since the trail is smooth enough for sandals, yet immersive enough to feel the rainforest come alive around you. As you walk, you’ll hear the river guiding you, sometimes soft and sometimes louder depending on the mountain’s rainfall, creating a peaceful soundtrack that welcomes you into El Yunque’s heart.
When you reach the natural pool and take your first dip in its refreshing waters, you’ll feel why this place is one of the most magical ways to meet El Yunque for the very first time. It’s the kind of moment that stays with you long after you leave.
To complete the experience, we finish the day at the famous Luquillo Kiosks, where you can enjoy local cuisine right by the beach before heading back.

5.00This was a wonderful excursion. We were looking for something in the rainforest that did not include waterslides or long hikes. This was a gentle hike to a beautiful hidden pool, and we enjoyed it immensely. Yatzel was very informative and kept showing us interesting flora and Fana. He was also very concerned with our safety, which we appreciated. Luquilla was also beautiful, and our dinner was excellent! All in all an excellent excursion.

5.00We had a great experience with Yatzel from Hiking Hangeo Tours. His hiking tour was easy going, knowledgeable of local history and comfortably safe. Communication before and after the trip was clear and professional. Dinner afterwards was enjoyable with our guide and new friends. Highly recommend this tour!

5.00Super easy and scenic hike. The walk took about 15 minutes and the river was gorgeous and isolated where we hung out for about an hr before getting dinner at a beautiful sunset dinner. Our guide was super cool and gave great life advice as well just fun to hang out with, definitely recommend.

5.00This tour was perfect. We wanted to explore El Yunque but being middle-aged, we wanted a light to moderate activity level and not too strenuous. The hike was the perfect time, distance, and activity level for us and Yatzel was so patient with our pace. After a short hike, we had a relaxing time wading into the water in the rain forest, then afterwards enjoyed lunch at the Luquillo kiosks and a quick dip in the ocean. Yatzel also offered restaurant recommendations and other must-do activities for the rest of our stay. Yatzel was so knowledgeable about Puerto Rico history and culture and he connects with people easily. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience El Yunque at a more gentle pace,

5.00We had a wonderful time. We essentially had a private tour guide from being picked up in San Juan until we finished lunch in Luquillo. We had an educational and relaxing hike thru the rain forest before swimming in a beautiful lake. Afterwards we went to Luquillo Beach for a delicious lunch where we learned more about Puerto Rican history and culture. Would recommend.

5.00This El Yunque Rainforest hike was an amazing experience! We are very much beginner hikers, and this hike was an easy, chill walk to a beautiful natural pool where we could wade and swim. There was some uneven ground so definitely watch your step and wear comfy shoes, but this was a great way to experience the rainforest in a chill way. We ended the trip at Loquillo where we were able to get a delicious lunch and enjoy the beach there. Yatzel was an amazing tour guide! He was so knowledgeable and helpful. He pointed out local flora and fauna, and we learned about the area. He was super chill and great to chat with. He even took photos of us throughout our journey, so we could be in the moment and enjoy our experience but still have some photos to remember our adventure (plus we felt like celebrities lol!)
Yatzel was a superb tour guide, sharing his vast knowledge of the rainforest, and Puerto Rican culture.

5.00My tour guide Yatzel, did an amazing job and explained a lot to us about the rain forest and some of the origin of PR. I would definitely recommend him, if you plan to check out the rain forest. This is a must see, and Yatzel will give you the experience of a lifetime!
