A gentle, easy level rainforest hike that leads to a crystal clear natural pool, perfect for families, seniors, and beginners. No special footwear is needed since the trail is smooth enough for sandals, yet immersive enough to feel the rainforest come alive around you. As you walk, you’ll hear the river guiding you, sometimes soft and sometimes louder depending on the mountain’s rainfall, creating a peaceful soundtrack that welcomes you into El Yunque’s heart.
When you reach the natural pool and take your first dip in its refreshing waters, you’ll feel why this place is one of the most magical ways to meet El Yunque for the very first time. It’s the kind of moment that stays with you long after you leave.
To complete the experience, we finish the day at the famous Luquillo Kiosks, where you can enjoy local cuisine right by the beach before heading back.

5.00This El Yunque Rainforest hike was an amazing experience! We are very much beginner hikers, and this hike was an easy, chill walk to a beautiful natural pool where we could wade and swim. There was some uneven ground so definitely watch your step and wear comfy shoes, but this was a great way to experience the rainforest in a chill way. We ended the trip at Loquillo where we were able to get a delicious lunch and enjoy the beach there. Yatzel was an amazing tour guide! He was so knowledgeable and helpful. He pointed out local flora and fauna, and we learned about the area. He was super chill and great to chat with. He even took photos of us throughout our journey, so we could be in the moment and enjoy our experience but still have some photos to remember our adventure (plus we felt like celebrities lol!)
Yatzel was a superb tour guide, sharing his vast knowledge of the rainforest, and Puerto Rican culture.

5.00My tour guide Yatzel, did an amazing job and explained a lot to us about the rain forest and some of the origin of PR. I would definitely recommend him, if you plan to check out the rain forest. This is a must see, and Yatzel will give you the experience of a lifetime!

5.00We had an amazing time exploring El Yunque thanks to Yatzel! I was worried at first because we had two toddlers (3and 4) but the trail was easy and fun! They were able to walk the entire trip and back without us having to carry them. Yatzel is very experienced and informative, and we enjoyed learning about the little details of the forest that we would have missed otherwise. Little stop by the beach was an added bonus. Highly recommend!
