Torre Yokahu
Dr. Frank H. Wadsworth, a former forest supervisor and director of the IITF, constructed this 69-foot tower in the early 1960s. On a clear day, the Virgin Islands may be seen from Yokah Tower, along with the coastline and four different types of forest: Colorado (smooth to the south), Tabonuco (irregular surrounding with white-leaved Yagrumos), Palm (on the steep slopes), and Cloud Forest (on the peaks). To the east, in the upper Mameyes Valley, is the deep ancient forest of the Bao de Oro Research Natural Area.
Catarata La Coca
La Coca Falls is a magnificent waterfall, rising 1,476 feet (450 meters) above sea level! La Coca Cascades' water falls 85 feet (26 meters) to the bottom of the falls, where it meets a massive rock formation. The location is ideal for taking pictures.

This tour provides a brief nature walk through a forest loop, waterfall viewing for about 5 minutes, 30 minutes at the observation deck, 30 minutes at the river and 1.5 hours at the beach. You receive notice about 12 hours before your tour to confirm the pick up time. There are no amenities provided on tour, however, the guides and knowledgeable and friendly with a lot of history. On the other hand, the drop off to Luquillo Beach is very abrupt without much recommendation and a reminder that you are picked up at a certain time and location. Note that you also do not stop at the visitor's center in the national forest. It's a quick peek and easy walk for those who need a low impact tour. It would have been nice to get a bit more guidance and time line on the tour. The kiosks have a 30- to 45- minute wait for food so you'll have to choose between beach or a meal. There also were no rinse off or bathrooms in the area you are dropped off. It would have been nice to get some guidance on where to go as further away were some amenities. It's definitely more of a kiosk food drop that a beach time.

Day of beauty and a couple of short easy hikes into the forest to waterfalls and nice swim area. Very peaceful. Angel was a great guide and provided lots of information during our ride to El Yunque and along the hikes. He made it a fun day for all of us. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny day and no rain for our hike.

Great tour through the rainforest. Guides were informative. I need a cane to walk and they took very good care of me on the short hikes that we took. Swimming in the River was amazing, and the water was refreshing. There were plenty of food/shopping options at the beach. We enjoyed some local food and a cocktail. Overall a very good tour.

The rainforest was beautiful. This particular tour was perfect. We were picked up at 9am. Tour started immediately with Rafael giving us details about PR as we drove by certain areas. He was considerate to all about bathroom usage. The short hike through the rainforest was very nice, we all wore teva sandals which worked great. It was pouring rain, so a pancho is recommended but we didn’t have one so we were drenched. The last stop is at Luquillo Beach, the day of our tour was gloomy and scattered rain. We enjoyed the food and drinks while we waited for transportation back to our hotel. I highly recommend this tour.
