The earlier we start, the better to avoid larger tour companies!
Each tour is led by a passionate and knowledgeable guide who wants to share his love for the island with you! On this tour, we will walk through muddy trails that are only 1.5 miles long! This popular trail leads through beautiful waterfalls that are natural water slides and pools with crystal-clear water! For the last stop, you will enjoy authentic Puerto Rican food next to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island!

San Juan
To begin our amazing adventure our guide will personally pick up at the travelers accommodation in the metro area. Pickups can be hotels, resorts, residences or airbnbs anywhere in San Juan, Carolina, Loiza, Canovanas, Luquillo, Rio Grande or Fajardo. The day before the excursion, the tour guide will be communicating with the travelers for exact pick up time and other details. This schedule goes from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The earlier we start the better, to avoid bigger tour groups that arrive from other companies.
El Yunque National Forest
Our certified tour guide will lead you through this beautiful hidden gem in the rainforest of "El Yunque" in this area you will explore through the muddy clay trails and the lushes green of the rainforest. We will arrive at Las Tinajas Falls depending on previously scheduled pick up times by your personal tour guide. The hike is about 1.5 miles in total and will take about half an hour to arrive to the first bathing area. The guide will talk about the Taino life in the rainforest, the beautiful plants that grow around and show you the incredible bathing areas hidden in paradise. In these bathing areas you will be able to spend 1-2 hours swimming around, rope swinging into the deep rainwaters, sliding through a natural waterslide and/or jump from a 30 foot cliff! All these things in one incredible area in Puerto Rico. We will stay here until 1-2pm and afterwards stop around in some of the nearby restaurants to grab a bite to eat!

5.00Good communication, clean transportation, a quick and delicious stop for lunch. The rainforest trail is gorgeous and Carlos was very knowledgeable. The climbing and waterfall aspects require balance and an appetite for adventure. Carlos room great care of us and and we really enjoyed the day.

5.00Andrea was very fun and interesting to spend the day with! She has a wealth of knowledge about everything in Puerto Rico. The hike to the water was easy but climbing up for the river water slide is a bit challenging for older people or anyone not agile on their feet. I’m 63 and didn’t have trouble but a couple that was a bit older than us didn’t hike up to the falls nor did my wife. If you are not going to planning to partake in the water adventures, you might find the hike to be a little too simple of an adventure. I absolutely loved going down the water fall and jumping off the short cliff! Leaving Andrea at the end of the day made us sad because she became a great friend in just one day!

5.00This was by far our best experience in Puerto Rico. I went with my five boys ages 11 to 19 - all adventurous and strong swimmers. We all wore water shoes purchased on Amazon. The shoes were perfect for the hike, waterfalls and swimming. The boys wore jammer lined swim suits and swim shirts. I wore swim leggings and a swim shirt. Mitchell advised leaving earlier than initially scheduled to beat the crowds - this was a key move. The hike to and from the waterfalls was challenging for me and fun for my boys. Mitchell showed us so many interesting things along the way, was kind and patient. The waterfalls, slides, rope swing, cliff jumping, and swimming were spectacular. Mitchell made sure we were all safe and comfortable and then my boys were able to repeat what they wanted to or not. You can choose what u do and don’t want to do. There is one small bathroom at the entrance/exit for hundreds of people so we decided to sit on towels and not change. If changing is essential for u, bring a pop up tent. We stopped at the kiosks at the beach in the way home. Mitchell educated us on Puerto Rican food and helped us choose and order. There are bathrooms at the kiosks so u could change there if need be. This was by far our favorite excursion/thing we did in Puerto Rico and Mitchell was by far our favorite guide - my boys can’t stop talking about what an incredible human he was. Go very early if u want to beat the crowds. We saw several very large tour groups and were so happy it was just our family in a group.
Fun day exploring the rainforest

5.00We did the rainforest tour with Andrea and had a great time! Andrea was a fabulous tour guide. She took us to two waterfall slides, a rope swing, and some cliff jumping spots and gave us lots of interesting information about the rainforest plants and Puerto Rican history and culture. The lunch stop in Luquillo was delicious!

5.00I can't imagine there is a better tour of El Yunque out there! It's my impression that most tours follow the same beats - start at the same place, take the same path, do the same activities, etc. - but this tour is the best way to go about it. Our tour guide Brian decided to pick us up early (6am) in order to avoid the crowds. This was a wise decision! There was no one else around when we started our journey but by the time we turned around to go back, there were lines on the paths. Our group was only 3 people (not including the guide), which means we were nimble and got individual attention/guidance. Brian was very knowledgeable about the rainforest, and Puerto Rico more generally. We stopped at a lovely fruit stand on the way back for lunch. He made sure that there was vegetarian food for me to eat and gluten-free food for another tour member. All of this made for a spectacular tour and likely the highlight of our Puerto Rico trip. I would recommend this tour, and Brian, to anyone looking to see El Yunque!

5.00It was an amazing trip and Ricky was an excellent guide, providing so much information even on the way to the forest. He was really helpful in coordinating the pick up with our cruise ship and ensuring we got back on time. The rainforest and the water pools and river were amazing to see and to swim and jump into.
