A mutli-experiences type of Excursion, that takes you back in time and fast forward to the present in seconds. Handcrafted items are available as souvenirs you may want to purchase and to top off your experience you may have a traditional embera tattoo, it is non-permanent, the ink is made out off of a fruit and no needle is used.

As it is customary for the indigenous people to organize the best ceremonies for their guests and are very welcoming. They wear their traditional outfits for the events, some covered their bodies with traditional tattoos, perform their best dances and music for the occasion and delight your palate with their fine traditional cuisine. A very detailed speech is given about their origin, dialect, culture, tradition and lifestyle, this is a great opportunity to interact with the villagers. You may visit their community school, museum and kitchen. Take pictures with the kids, youth and the elders, also you may want to have a non-permanent, traditional tattoo. Witness the embera traditional dance and Rumba mostly performed by women and the traditional musical instruments are played by men. Depending on the season, it is very likely to go to the beautiful waterfall to renovate and connect your spirit with nature, that involves a walk-through the jungle of 5 – 15 minutes (based on natural condition and accessibility). It takes a 45 minutes’ drive from the city to the Lake and from there 10-20 minutes on canoes to the Village and an additional 15-20 minutes on canoes to near the waterfall (based on natural condition and accessibility).

I am so glad I chose this tour to visit the Embera Tribe. Hector was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable & able to translate from Spanish to English. Hector has lived in Panama 17 years and knows the people in the community really well. There were plenty of stories shared & lots of laughs. He answered all my questions about Panama, the culture & the tribe. I learned so much! The tour I took was about 6 hours. I’m so glad he encouraged me to participate in the dance at the end. This will always be a memorable experience! Thank you!

There were many factors that made this excursion just AMAZINGGGG, we were a small group, easy to interact with our local guide, the people of the community was super friendly, the waterfall, the national park, Traditional Lunch and of course their traditional dances, were unique, my girlfriend wished she could live there, right in the middle of the jungle. We were thrilled.

Got to say that this is the best tour I've ever done whilst on holiday. The Company owner and, on this occasion Guide for the tour, was a major contributor towards this experience. Fluent in English, he was exceedingly well informed and able to pass on this knowledge, giving us an in depth understanding of these people and how they live. He went out of his way to assist us in all aspects of this tour and I cannot recommend him and his company highly enough.

Very rewarding excursion both in terms of the environment and the population of the indigenous people we met. We learned their story from the anecdotes told by Hector, our best guide. At no time did we feel in danger or neglected on the contrary we were very well supervised especially for the crossing of the forest to the waterfall where we bathed. To renew.

My friend and I were on this tour with a young professional, well experienced tour guide named Hector P. Hector P. Is multilingual, fluent in English with virtually no accent, which made communicating with the Embera people and other tourist a plus for our trip. He is passionate and knowledgeable about what he is doing which was refreshing and created a relaxing, fun and educational tour. He made our tour and entire trip memorable. I highly recommend this tour and tour guide.
