5.00We booked our trip through Viator with Les Grands Voyages de Madagascar for the Emerald Sea Tour on a traditional dhow sailing boat. Franck was our guide - the best! He met us at the cruise port - was very accommodating with our delayed arrival. We drove approximately 30 minutes to the location where we boarded the dhow. We then sailed for 90 minutes - a great sail on the Indian Ocean and then the spectacular Emerald Sea. Franck provided historical and cultural information throughout the trip. We landed at a pristine powder white sand beach on the Emerald Sea, where we had a fantastic meal of grilled fish and crab prepared for us. We spent time on the beach exploring the gorgeous vistas. Our return trip was adventurous and exciting as the winds had picked up - sailing was incredible! We returned to the ship in good time - we had an amazing day! Definitely ask for Franck if you consider this trip.
