Wadi Dawkah is home to a large number of Boswellia sacra trees, also known as the frankincense trees. These trees produce the resin known as frankincense, which has been a valuable commodity for centuries, used in religious ceremonies, perfumes, traditional medicine, and more. The site is not a traditional park in the sense of recreational areas but rather a protected area aimed at preserving the natural habitat of these historic and culturally significant trees. Visitors can explore the groves and learn about the history and cultural importance of frankincense in the region.

An amazing day from start to finish! Walking among the frankincense trees of Wadi Dawkah, meeting the camels and experiencing the desert for the first time was magical. Our guide was excellent and very caring. Thank you for such a beautiful experience!

We booked Mohamed for a full experience in the Empty Quarter 🏜️🌵. We enjoyed to the fullest almost 24 hours of adventure: drank camel 🐪 milk, watched the sunset on top of the dunes, slept in a Beduin camp, listened to nighttime stories next to the bonfire and were mesmerized by the stars by midnight. Mohamed is a professional tour guide, we had lots of interesting discussions and discovered many things about the culture and surroundings. He has the best tips to make sure you get the most out of the Omani experience. ❤️ We want to come back to explore more of the beauty of this country!

A big thank you for Mahdi and Mohammed for the desert safari trip with overnight stay in the desert! It's an experience that we all should have, at least once in a lifetime. Sunset in the desert and stargazing!✨️ To be a memorable&perfect experience, you need a local guide, as he is Mahdi! Professionalism, hospitality, friendly, fluent english, confort, great car; all together in an authentic & amazing experience! We also had bonus things to do as: a visit to the mosque and shopping in the bazar! Thank you for everything!🙏

I booked the sunset dunes experience in Salalah with no expectations, but it turned out to be one of the main highlights in the trip. The dunes were breathtaking, certainly, but what made the whole trip unforgettable was Mohamed. He knew exactly where to take us for the best view points of the sunset away from the crowds, timed the stops perfectly, brought us snacks and made sure we're safe and sound, and made the whole trip feel both safe and exciting with super cool bashing in the dunes!

Mohamed is an absolutely wonderful guide! So kind, helpful, and knowledgeable — he made the entire experience unforgettable. His warmth and patience made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. I couldn’t have asked for a better guide. our kid also had a memorable time in the desert! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly special experience!

I want to start by thanking our guide Alawi from Mohamed's team.….our trip was amazing. We saw the frankenscent trees, the baby camels (my little girl was so happy) and tasted the camel milk and we had fun in the desert. We had the experience with the 4x4 on dunes and this was so cool and I want on more time….On the way back we stopped and admired the stars....now we saw how many and beautiful they are. Can't wait for the next adventure.

During our vacation in Oman we chose to admire the sunset in the desert and I can say that it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. Of course, our guide Mohammed who is an example of professionalism, hospitality and empathy contributed greatly to this. I chose the trip organized by him because we are not talking about mass tourism, he organizes private tours, oriented to the needs and preferences of each tourist, so if you want an authentic experience, to see untouched sand dunes, I highly recommend you choose the experience offered by him.

The trip was really nice, we saw the frankenscent trees, the baby camels and tasted the camel milk and we had fun in the desert. We have some amazing pictures and Mohamed made turbans for us for the pics. Also, we had the experience with the 4x4 on dunes and this was so cool. On the road back he stopped to admire the stars and was so beautiful so see how many they are. I really recommend this trip and him as your guide. Thank you!
