Red Shanked Douc Langurs are endangered primates and almost found only in Vietnam. Son Tra is where these creatures call home
Having an opportunity to see a living creature right next to intinction is precious

Start time varies based on season to match animals active time Embark on the fascinating world of our most endangered primates, off the beaten track and away from the tourist traps. In an easy, 3 hour-adventure, across twisting mountain road, scenic terrain, we will go into secret spaces that only the Red-Shanked Douc Langurs aka Rare Monkeys know. From encountering sprightly off-springs during breeding-season (March to July) to seeing the adults or alpha male, or just to enjoy the sight of monkeys being monkeys, you’ll learn how to tell a "she" from a "he", how to tell their age, and also participate in real-time research by helping to collect data about the monkey we encounter. We will meet a supporting cast of forest creatures; birds, colorful butterflies, plants, or sometimes mongoose. On the trail we travel, I'll find chances to have a conversation with local animal photographers. We can hear the insights and see their amazing photos from them for a better understand of the monkey . Not only we go finding rare animals but also have opportunity to see an amazing hidden sceneries of Monkey Mountain, secret beach, altogether will combine to make our trip full of surprises.

5.00Awesome way to see these rare monkeys. Leo and Alan were great guides, able to spot the langurs when we couldn’t have. They were able to answer and questions we had and were easy to chat to.

5.00I had a great time and have enjoyed my tour with Leo! Pick up from the hotel was on time, and we’ve driven across the lush monkey mountain, enjoying the peace and quiet, seeing a few monkey families along the way. Leo brought water and snacks, provided binoculars and took a bunch of photos for memories! No rush along the way. Thanks a lot, Leo!

5.00I had an amazing morning monkey watching! My guide Leo was great, he was so knowledgeable telling me facts about the monkeys and we saw even more than I expected. It was really personal as the group was small and respectful to the wildlife because we kept our distance making sure to not disturb them. Leo knew all the potential spots to see them and took amazing photos that he shared with me afterwards, would definitely recommend.

5.00I had an amazing morning monkey watching! My guide Leo was great, he was so knowledgeable telling me facts about the monkeys and we saw even more than I expected. It was really personal as the group was small and respectful to the wildlife because we kept our distance making sure to not disturb them. Leo knew all the potential spots to see them and took amazing photos that he shared with me afterwards, would definitely recommend.

5.00We booked this tour via GetYourGuide and are fully satisfied. Cillian & Dung did a great job showing us some wonderful nature and beautiful monkeys. They picked us up in time, brought us savely to the mountains and back by motorbike and Cillian told us interesting information about the park, the monkeys, the nature and the animals living there. 5.00This was an incredible safari! My tour guide was Alan, and he is a master at his craft! He was an absolute professional and also very down to earth and flexible. He picked me up from my hotel on time and was an efficient and safe driver. I was amazed at how quickly he was able to find so many monkeys that would be hidden to the untrained eye. I saw so many monkeys of all sizes and shapes. He can spot them from either side of the road while driving. I was fortunate to have such a great guide with eyes. We even saw a whole family of monkeys crossing a bridge and some jumping several feet in the air. I do photography so i was able to get some amazing photos on the trip thanks to Alan! Alan will help guide you for the sweet perspectives for shots and keep you at a safe distance to not scare the monkeys off! Alan was thoughtfully and brought me a water bottle for the hot day! These animals are in the wild, its not an enclosure! Highly recommend! DO THIS!

Our guides were incredibly kind and very knowledgeable, and you could genuinely feel how passionate they are about what they do. The whole atmosphere was warm and enjoyable throughout. The monkeys were beautiful, and we learned so much about them. I can only give this my highest recommendation
