Ephesus Museum

The items exhibited in the museum come from different periods of history and prehistory, including the Mycenaean, Geometric, Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk, and Ottoman times. The objects are not shown chronologically but grouped geographically in dedicated exhibition halls and the garden of the museum. There are nine main rooms of the archaeological section, devoted to the finds from the nymphaeums of Ephesus, the terrace houses of this city, ancient coins, the presentation of Ephesus through the ages, stone artefacts (in the garden), the cult of Kybele, the finds from the Artemision, the statues of Artemis Ephesia, and the Imperial Cult.

We had a wonderful time on our tour with Sevda she's very friendly and very knowledgeable about turkey history also she took us for a nice lunch much was free of charge.

Bill, our guide, was amazing ! He is very knowledgeable on Turkish history with a background in Turkish archaeology. The tour was tailored to our needs with stops at Ephesus, The Virgin Mary, a ceramics workshop and a rug workshop ( with a full tour). We even got to try some of the crafts!! We ate at an amazing co op. We dined with Turkish delicacy. We needed our day with an amazing Turkish bath and massage place.

We had an amazing time. Fusun, our guide, was phenomenal, very knowledgeable, and she took us to places I'd never imagine to be while traveling on my own. She was very kind with the kids in our party, too. We had our own private luxury van. I highly recommend this company.

Fusun was a spectacular tour guide! She knew so much about all of the historical landmarks we visited…Ephesus and several in Istanbul. She effortlessly tailored the trip to meet the multiple wants of our party. We saw many mosques and markets, and even went to a traditional Turkish rug market and leather goods store w our own personal runway!

The tour guide Mr. Haluk was friendly, and knowledgable. We visited the ephesus ruins and learned a lot about ancient times. We also had opportunity to eat traditional foods. The weather was hot but breezy. We had a fabulous time!

Our trip was amazing. We came in on a cruise and booked this separately, Filiz took great care of us and ensured we had enough time for what we wanted to do, she gave us options and planned the day off of what was important for our group. The van was luxurious and they had water ready for us. Filiz ensured that we were well educated on history and current culture and customs.
